splinters Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 So today I did a system transfer as I have done many times before to my new XL; the only difference being this has a Nintendo ID on it. The target system (XL) warned me that it couldn't do a transfer until the ID was removed and to format the system memory. Knowing this doesn't delete downloaded titles from the eshop i obliged and dis the transfer but now I have lost several titles from the XL namely Zelda, Mario 3D Land and Sonic 3D. I contacted customer support who told me I may have lost my eShop account...what the hell?? Apparently removing the iD may have deleted the account but according to Nintendo own site, formatting DOES NOT remove the ID so why have I lost my games? Worse still, even though thus is no fault of mine, they cannot promise to restore them and i have to wait 3-5 days just for an update. If they cant sort this out, me and Nintendo are parting company for good. When I have problems with Sony downloads they sort it there and then or give you funds to repurchase titles. Really annoyed by this especially just before Xmas.
