Posted January 28, 2007 Anyone downloaded this game from the VC yet? If not then do it, it's one of the best oldskool shoot em ups I've ever played. I never played PC Engine back in the day but I remember they were well known for their great catologue of arcade shoot em ups. And it on my TV it displays it in 480p which makes the graphics nice and bright, other VC games usually revert back to 576i when starting up. Short Review of Soldier Blade. Posted February 3, 2007 I finally downloaded this game yesterday and I must say you're right, this game is a total blast, and it looks surprisingly good on my HD TV with a 3rd party Component Cable. Fast gameplay, lots of power ups, a catchy soundtrack and great graphics, what more can you ask? It's IMO one of the best games currently on the VC. Anyone looking for a great fast & furious "Shmup" should give this game a try, it's well worth the 600 points.
