  1. Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl

NiSA are quickly becoming one of my favourite publishers. Shame that it took all these years for them to cut a deal with Atlus, I would have appreciated being able to get all those DS games locally. I guess the rampant piracy really damaged that possibility.
  2. Aonuma really seems to want a break

I wouldn't change the leads on Zelda yet, Fujibayashi has only directed one mainline Zelda game (Skyward Sword, which I personally enjoyed). I want to see how he goes for the next title now that he had experience at directing a big budget game (his previous games were the handheld Zelda games). Similarly, it was the first mainline Zelda Aonuma produced, with Miyamoto being the producer on Wind Waker and Twilight Princess.
  3. Wii U and 3DS Gaming Bargains

Thanks for the heads up, seems that Base ships to Australia for quite cheap.
  4. The Wonderful 101

They missed the opportunity of including Non Specific Action Figure.
  5. Mario Party Island Tour

Mario Party DS was a fantastic game, I had a blast playing the download play multiplayer with a group of friends. Probably the best DS multiplayer experience I had.
  6. Rayman Legends

Pretty much, I would have bought it in February, too many other games out now.
  7. The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD

Shame that the collectors edition is GAME exclusive, one of the few UK websites that don't deduct VAT from foreign purchases. Nintendo Australia, no limited editions, no Wii U price drop. It's great to be Australian.
  8. Deus Ex: Human Revolution Directors Cut

We are talking about Square Enix, they still haven't announced the release date for FFX+X-2 HD which was announced nearly 2 years ago.
  9. Unified Accounts Problem Still Not Solved

Yep, and they're half way there with both the 3DS and the Wii U having the option to link the hardware to club nintendo (The way they managed the ambassador giveaway). They already have the foundations of an account system, they just have to build upon it. On another note, am I the only person that thinks the 'problem' alluded to by Moffit that needs to be 'solved' is convincing NCL that an account system is needed?
  10. Nintendo 2DS

People that are complaining about the lack of the clam shell design must not have an I pad or other tablets, I mean who really drops hundreds of dollars into devices that you can damage by dropping these days?
  11. Nintendo 2DS

Yeah there is, there's a slider on the side. Is is strange that I don't find this ugly and some sort of an 'abomination'? The only thing I have an issue with is the name, all in all I think it's a good idea.
  12. The Wonderful 101

(Just saw the post above, ignore)
  13. Recommend a new 3DS owner some 3DS games

Get Crimson Shroud on the e-shop, a great table top style RPG. Probably one of my favourite games on the system so far. Designed Yasumi Matsuno (of Final Fantasy Tactics, Ogre Battle and Vagrant Story fame).
  14. The Wonderful 101

All I know is that they are terrible for Australian delivery. I know a guy that I think is still waiting for Pikmin 3 to arrive after pre ordering it from wowhd.
  15. The Wonderful 101

Yep, when someone tweeted Kamiya telling him they personally gave Bayonetta a 9/10 he said he didn't care about scores. Good to see that Nintendo are actually marketing Wonderful 101, though I don't know how effective bribing Famitsu is these days.
  16. The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD

It's deluxe + Windwaker so i'd assume it would come with Nintendo Land as well. $50 less and you've got two games compared to $50 more plus the games you'll have to buy isn't that bad. As we all know software sells hardware, hardware rarely sells hardware, look at the Vita, even after the price drop that puts it on par with the 3DS XL price I highly doubt that it will outsell the 3DS XL anytime soon.
  17. The Wonderful 101

Well I've found another reviewer to ignore. I still remember that reviewer for Skyward Sword who rubbished it then went on about how he was the only 'true reviewer' left and it was his duty to tell the masses the 'truth'. Only on the internet can idiots get significant air time.
  18. The Wonderful 101

Controls are a funny thing though, in most game reviews controls get a passing mention because they employ a standardised control scheme. Most First Person Shooters control the same. Games that have control schemes that have a learning curve (Such as this one and Kid Icarus Uprising) tend to get lambasted for their unorthodox controls. For example the drawing mechanic in this game is something I can imagine many will get comfortable with if they persevere with it. While criticism is valid on whether they work or not, for many of the Kid Icarus review I felt many of the reviewers didn't try to understand the controls, made fun of the inclusion of a stand and called it a day.
  19. The Wonderful 101

Exactly, look at the recent Pikmin 3 reviews. That game 'lost points' because it didn't 'justify' the Wii U and wouldn't 'save' the Wii U. It seems like the popular thing to do at the moment, laying the boot into the Wii U at every turn, justified or not.
  20. The Wonderful 101

Pretty much, Kid Icarus Uprising all over again. Blistered thumbs gave it a 3/10, with the reviewer saying that the game has camera issues and would have been fixed if it was a third person game... I've learnt a long time ago to ignore review scores, the majority of them are just arbitrary numbers out of 10. Sure reading reviews have merit but just because one gamer has difficulty with the control scheme doesn't mean everyone else will. 7.4/10 will be seen as a 'bad' score I presume, but actually reading the review it sounds fine. Her main complaint is with the drawing mechanic, which I personally found to work pretty well in the demo. (At the start I had a little trouble but towards the end it just clicked with me and I stopped having issues with it). I'm sure i'll fully enjoy this game when I pick it up, will probably be my first Wii U game since launch.
  21. Splinter Cell: Blacklist

Played Spies vs Mercs at PAX Australia a couple of weeks ago, it single handily sold me on this game. I'm very impressed by Ubisoft at their Wii U support this year. Sure they supported the Wii U at launch but then again they did release games at launch for the 3DS and then proceeded to ignore the platform.
  22. Pokémon Rumble U

That's what I think, like how they put those Kid Icarus cards up on Club Nintendo. But then that would be Club Nintendo would be relevant and useful.
  23. Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl

I really like that boxart, probably the best Etrian Odyssey boxart in my opinion.
  24. So apparently the Japanese direct is going to be 43 minutes long. I still don't understand why we all get excited for what boils down to a half hour infomercial on Nintendo products...
