  1. The soundtrack was fantastic. One of the best in any game. Voice acting is ok. Kalas was pretty good, the others were not so good.

Mizuti must be the most annoying character ever though. Just wanted to thump it and tell it to shut up.

The other really annoying aspect was the blank magnus cards and having to capture essence in them over and over again, which was really slow etc.

    But it's a brill game I completed.

  2. i say don't hold your breath but expect to import from USA. It won't make it here, it's too late in the day, and GC is almost dead here. If they bring it out in Europe they have to consider all the european transalations and I just can't see it happening. It will be a big surprise for sure if they did.

So best not to expect it here, you'll just be disappointed. ah well make use of my action replay again.

  3. This has still not been announced for Europe. Come on Nintendo, you can't do this to us.

I will probably import US version if they don't release it here, but it'd be another kick in the teeth for us europeans.

Honestly, I don't think they will release it in Europe because they don't want to go through all the different european languages which could take a while etc etc.

Gamecube needs a swansong other than Twilight Princess as that's on Wii as well.

I want this game sooo bad

  4. The new Nintendo magazine and DVD is great. But if you've seen most the Vids from E3 you would have seen most of whats on the DVD. But there are vids taken first hand by the staff. Definitely worth the money I think.

Zelda is looking more beautiful with each sreenshot. Honestly if the graphics are the same on the Gamecube and Wii I'm pleasantly suprised with what the Cube can do. Is anyone here going to buy the Gamecube version? I might have to get both.

  5. I lost respect for that dude after that for some reason. It was just the same when Nintendo announced that it would be called Wii. He's just a bit negative. He doesn't seem to have much faith in Nintendo. They know what they are doing on pricing. We know nothing about the launch and what comes with the system yet, but the initial shipment is likely to sell-out to Nintendo's core gamers.

Nintendo don't really need to go after the non-gamer until after a few months when they start getting more of their non-games out. Anyway, Nintendo only said it will be less than $250, so they must still be keeping their options open as to what's going to be included in the system.

We'll all be singing Nintendo's praises come launch of the system.

  6. I'm sure we'll see good enough graphics significantly better than GC. Only a handful of games released on the Cube pushed it to it's limits - Resi 4, Zelda TP, F Zero GX, and Metroid games. That's it. All the others could have looked better.

And because developing for Wii will be easy adn similar to GC, developers should be able to get the most out of it pretty quickly

  7. come on even if it's fake no need to get worked up over it. I for one didn't believe there is any big secret left, but maybe I will be in for a big surprise. The fact that Opera browser and internet may play a big part in the games, besides multiplayer is something very interesting.

and there is nothing wrong with Keiser Chiefs, I think they're pretty good myself.

  8. I got my Cube at launch and I have about 25 games. I have sold some crappy ones like Die Hard Vendetta, Splinter Cell and Warrior Within, just to name a few. There are still some games I would like to own, but I'll never reach half of 70. That's to be applauded - proper support for the Cube I think.

Just had a thought - my Hori pad should work on the Wii, so maybe I don't need to get the Retro controller. But I still might get one, I'm sure it'd be much better.

  9. It's an awesome launch line up.

Zelda is for definite - is anyone picking up the gamecube version? I wish it was just one version with two sets of controls? Now I have to decide on which version to get, but I think I'd go for the Wii.

I think I'll change my mind for 2nd game from Dragon Quest to Red Steel (if it's good) or Metroid Prime 3.

Also what about Virtual Console, and Accessories? I'll probably pick up 2nd remote and SD card. Hope they have a attachable hard drive as well.

I hope to exchange some Stars for Virtual Console games. I want Kid Icarus.

  10. I know it's not announced yet: date, price, and what games will be available, but from what games we do know about that are likely to be available some time at launch or slightly after, what 2 or 3 games will people buy? I'm guessing most people will pick up 2 games?

It will definitely be an interesting choice. My first is a given - that would have to be Legend of Zelda.

I'll have a harder time deciding on my 2nd game, possibly an RPG from Square Enix, Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles or Dragon Quest.

But then I'm really excited about Red Steel and Metroid Prime Corruption as well.

Then Super Mario Galaxy will probably launch within 2 months as well.

Things look amazingly good especially with Super Smash Bros. Brawl on the horizon too.

  11. I think it's awesome. love the name, love the design, love the adverts, love the whole new direction Nintendo is going in.

Slick, Cool, New, Fresh, and Appealing. No more kiddy, geek, fan boy image any more. Nintendo will rock.

  12. i love the name, and would not want Nintendo to change it back to revolution at all.

i think it looks good, easy to pronounce, will kiss ass in marketing. people who get too stuck up on the pronouciation are seriously retarded. i mean who the hell cares if it sounds like wee. we all do it anyway.

Nintendo will reach it's target audience with this name - The Whole World. Not just the muppets who care too much about their street cred, chavs & chav scum.

  13. are those real logos? if so, i'll be very happy.

    they look awesome.

shock and awe from Nintendo. they sure know what they are doing. perfect timing before E3 also. Let the name settle, get everybody talking, and thrill them somemore.

Full of surprises is Nintendo, that's why I love them so much

  14. I agree that the name looks great graphically. Great potential marketing wise. I have to say I absolutely dig the name now. So unique, and beautiful. The W and the I looks perfect next to each other.

I reckon Nintendo are going for the cool, slick, clean, unique, new, different approach. They sure have balls, you got to hand it to them. No thick idiots coming up with the idea of slapping a number/numbers on the end of a name that they used previously.

To those that say they will not play Zelda or Mario because they are embarrased with the pronounciation of a name, not even the spelling, I say get a life, because it is definitely too short.

  15. Only short minded people can't get wee out of their system. seeing you lot are all kinda Nintento fans, you should be more open than this. We don't think of the word 'WE' as 'WEE' so we won't with 'WII' either.

The media hype this has generated is amazing. Like it or love it now, everyone will know what it is as they discuss it in their households. People will joke with it, but so what, when we see how cool and slick the system and marketing is, it will banish all reservations and negative image that people have with it.

Truth is Revolution was not as accessible, easy to say. WII can become a really cool name, if they get the marketing right. It's all about their marketing, and I think with this the opportunity is there to reach a much wider audience.

  16. I think people need to calm down, take a step back and think on the long term whether they will like it.

I was a bit laughing when I heard what it was going to be called on the Radio, but have to admit the more I read it the more it grows on me. I think I have already changed my mind that it is a better name than Revolution.

Just in terms of worldwide marketing, it is far better. The letters look good together, and goes well with the new slick, clean image of the hardware. It will definitely grow on people, i know people initially think wee, and it will be laughable, but I agree with Perrin Kaplin in that it will become a very likeable name such as Google, Yahoo, Ipod etc.

And btw, WII has much more meaning behind it than XBox or Playstation, so shut that argument.

Fact is, it's not a word at all, but a combination of letters that make something new, and everybody will know what it is someday.

I like the look of the name, and the sound now.

  17. I agree with u Laguna. I'm giving Skies a chance, but beginning to run short of patience. The battle system is pretty boring compared to ToS and BK. Only the boss battles get a little more exciting. And the ship battles are so tedious. All battles are too slow.

The random encouters are well annoying, far to frequent (every 5 secs) especially when in ship searching for something.

I am currently stuck looking for the Lost City if someone can help me out. Otherwise I will use a guide because I've spent hours looking for it and keep getting these random battles.
