suppose it might depend on if the're are gyro type things in the Wii-stick (i like that! it is another term for nunchuck right?) might be too expensive in that case

The hardest thing about it for me is the crap i'll get off people i know, the're already drooling over the ps3 and i find myself defending the big N all the time. It was impossible to defend the GC when ps2 had new release after new release. I've watched the vid from nintendo and i know the reasoning behind the weird name so i'm educated and fairly supportive of the name, but they know nothing and will still know nearly nothing until the things released. Nintendo needs to really advertise this name and they dont have a particually good record here in the UK. That really worries me. p.s. IGN have not done themselves any favors by showing such lack of maturity. Here on forums and between fans etc is fine (i did some piss taking myself), but from a huge and fairly respected site like IGN it's pathetic imo.

personally i would just like them to say each letter stands for something ( i know it is meant to be 2 i's for the unique controller and people etc). Something like Wireless interactive immersion

anyone who really hates the name better get used to it cuz in a few months time you'll be seeing it everytime you boot up the thing. i suggest to start work on liking it now

The name will not change... i dunno if it will be on the front of the console thou. Apple haven't slapped 'ipod' on the front of their product (on the back isn't it?). I would think the big N will have it on the side like the second 'Nintendo' logo is (embossed is it?)

i liked the name a lot more than i thought when i went to sleep last night... but when i keep reading all the jokes and game titles like tomb raider wii or mario wii, i start to dislike it again

At first i hated (really hated!) the name, after knowing it for half an hour i saw my girlfriend and told her about the weird name.... her reaction was nothing like mine, she giggled and said she liked it! Now after i've calmed down i do actually think i like it too! It's so different to the other systems, after seeing some of the slogans on the possibly real ads it grows on me even more..... i dunno if i will be saying to my mates "can't wait to play that on my Wii" i might end up saying "can't wait to play that on nintendo" who knows thou!!

i can't think of any way nintendo can make it sound good (or mature) only for nintendo we - sounds awful out now on nintendo we - ouchie only for 'we' - whaaaa run away!! *wispery voice* weeeee - (like the gamecube uk ads) now that is just disturbing!
