  1. I think it's time to manage my launch day delivery expectations :( Zelda didn't arrive today which is very unusual for Simply Games. If Royal Mail 1st class is taking 2 days to get me Zelda, there's no reason to think the same won't happen for the Switch (if it ever even dispatches). For now I may as well just hold out hope that it arrives Monday.

Ultimately this is why i changed to Amazon this morning. I trust their weekend delivery far more than royal mails.

One possible ray of sunlight is that the website seems to be the very last thing the official Nintendo store updates...

  2. Mine is Lloyds, but the same thing has occurred effectively, i'm just waiting to see if Nintendo actually try again, its been three hours since payment was updated and they haven't tried again.

Live chat isn't working, emails have a 48 hour answer time, tempted to just sod them off and go to John Lewis' or Shopto now

i am in the same boat with the same bank, but my second attempt also failed because I put in the wrong expiry date - that was at 09:15.

Gave up and cancelled the order - went with Amazon that are promising delivery on the 4th. :hmm:

Nintendo UK's store customer contact facilities are dire.

  3. These are ace in terms of sound quality and battery life.

Negatives are the mic is too far away from your mouth so too quiet for most calls and the magnets that hold them together are weak.

I do usually get 8 hours from them. Batteries in each ear I think.

  4. Thanks @S\.C\.G - I am not that close to taking the plunge yet.

I am thinking this will be my 'keep for posterity' version of the 3DS.

Funds wise I might not be able to do it until September or October - but you have put my mind at rest in terms of getting a new one and not thinking about getting the old one fixed somehow (if they would even have done it given the state of the thing).

I had forgotten about the micro adaptor trick as well, so that will be very useful when the time comes. : peace:

  5. I am going to need to upgrade my 3DS as bits of plastic around the hinges have been falling off or have snapped off.

No point in getting anything other than a New 3DS I think, so to anyone that has done this and committed the system transfer:

    1) Does everything copy across (I am a bit worried about my Animal Crossing Save File)?

    2) Is it still as difficult as it was at the start or has anything improved?

  6. I had the same thought :D

But then think it through.. BotW is coming to the NX. Unless of course this will be a series... Nes CM, Snes CM, N64 CM, GC CM, Wii CM, Wii U CM.... and actually, that would be kinda neat :P

Yes, but then they reveal that the version of the original Legend of Zelda on the New CM IS in fact the NX version of Breath of the Wild (the game on Wii U is a lot closer to being inspired by the original than we realised) with a title change on the first screen.

I like your classic mini idea, but they might struggle with space when they get to the Wii U.

  7. I read that as confirmation that his original statement was a bending of the truth. I am sure it will be out on the NX rather than the Wii U, but Miyamoto's ideal of nearly ready and a normal persons are quite different I think. ;)

  9. It's hard for me to be down on offers which include the awesomeness that is Pilotwings, but man, I hope they add some more stuff soon. :hmm:

Yeah, it feels really odd at the moment. What is the point in only offering deals on older games - almost all that have had deals I already own. For those I don't the physical release is often cheaper.

I think they should bring back the Wii U premium discount. I guess they haven't because it was a good deal (and could conceivably effect new games), but I think the current miserly approach will do more harm than good in the long run.
