    NES3 is a good name but just not consistent, Nintendo broke from the nes, snes, mes, des, spez rhyming thing with the N64. Don't the fanboys argue that microsoft and sony are just being egotistical or whatever by just adding numbers at the end? I dunno...

     

    I like NRES for a name, it has the retro, Nintendo back in it's prime, quality and stands for Nintendo Revolutionary Entertainment System so it still contains Revolution.

     

    I think it just sounds good... NRES, EN-RES :P or even just RES.

    I think that was at the time of the cube though, but I always liked the name and it means "an important connection between the parts of a system or a group of things" so it would suit Nintendo well.

    I wouldn't mind it being called that but parents probably would get confused, although are they ever not confused when it comes to games consoles?

    I would rather it be called something else that's a bit more original maybe but this name is fine and does fit with the ds.

    I know this guy said he is not a Nintendo fan but come on! Surely everyone knows Nintendo have always been the innovative and affordable console. Nintendo are always looking for ways to improve gameplay and get gamers more immersed in games....

    In another post somewhere on this forum (not gonna go digging, maybe later) there's an interview with someone who worked on RE or something, and he basically said that he doesn't want to attack the RE series. He wants to try out the new control scheme to see how it copes or whatever and then he can incorporate that with an RE game.

    Nintendo's always been number 1 in my book, no matter what anyone else says. But it'd be good to have them leading the market again so the ps3 and xbox fanboys can just shut up a bit and maybe even open their minds. The people I know are just so narrow-minded, their main argument against anything they dont own is just "it's shit". No reasons or anything, even when you ask why they think that. I don't mind people liking over things but just saying somethings bad purely because you've never played it is silly.

    Let's talk handhelds. Obviously, the Nintendo DS is doing well, with 13 million sold so far. But Sony's PSP seems to have more buzz.

    Yeah, I felt a bit angry when I read this part of the interview, but Reggie put him straight. I don't know how people can have access to the facts (DS outselling PSP) and still say against them. It's incredible :S

    Until Nintendo say what the name is going to be, I wont put faith on anything.

    I don't mind the name Horizon but you can't really shorten it like: nes, snes, n64, cube, sp, ds, micro :P

    It's a silly thing to think about but I wouldn't be able to say 'just going on my Horizon' it sounds wrong.. 'going on the 'rizon'...

     

    :S 'going on the hor' <-- Actually that's not so bad.. :D

    If anyone needs me I'll be on my hor! muahahahaha

    I wouldn't worry too much about the dream, dreams are just random thoughts that are being sorted in your mind... or something... anything in dreams is only gonna be symbolic anyway. If anything were to happen to your mum or anyone then it would most likely be symbolised by a pink fluffy rabbit or something. Dreams are silly.

     

    Has anyone ever experienced a dream only to have a few sentences from it re-enacted like 2 weeks later or something?

    Don't say it's just de ja vous (sp?) because it isnt :P one time I dreamt a 5 minute convo with someone and then I had that same convo with them the next week.. Although I could have just sent us down that path after hearing a similar sentence from them to what I had heard in my dream :P but whatever

    I did think the ps3 was going to be released in spring 07, must have been mistaken :S

     

    It'll probably be the same as this generation in popularity but the rev being the only money-maker. With Nintendo gaining profits instead of losses for Rev's sold, we'll still have all the innovative titles from them. And better 3rd party support this time round.

    Attitude sure has changed around here, I don't think anyone can justify these comments on Revolution being unmodest of cocky.. at the end of the day we all know that the Revolution will use the controller, and it is getting support from many developpers.

     

     

    And the only other rumours we've heard are N5.. which if you think about it is totally an egotistical name, if you put it into perspective with the PS3 and xbox 360.

     

    Yes you are quite right, calling it a revolution is being completely modest and not at all egotistical... :indeed:
