my local woolworths had 2 in at about 3pm today lol decided against buying one, im waiting until the PS3 launch with the theory that stores will make decent Wii bundles around then. They are doing it for Xbox 360 now: Gamestation has an Xbox 360 bundle with Premium Console, Rainbow 6: Vegas, PGR3, Extra Wireless controller, Live Arcade and Battery Pack all for £300!

Great idea! Im building a Media Center at the moment (see the Tech board), it would be great if the Wiimote could be customised as a Mouse and Remote control! BTW, anyone know if the Wii works with GC/N64 cables?

hmm, doesnt Wii play music, let you view photos and connect with the DS? not exactly selling the PS3 is he? On the Blu Ray front, it makes me laugh. Yet again we have 2 competing media types, just like Laserdisk vs CD and VHS vs Betamax except this time nobody cares! At the rate the 2 formats are selling they'll both be getting replaced by SD cards and movie downloads/streaming before theyve even got 5% market penetration! Why? Because very few consumers are ready to stake their money on either format. Maybe the PS3 will change this, maybe not.

i'll be waiting for my wages to come through into my bank account (can take until about 5pm) Then i'll be wandering around town in search of a Wii, Tesco first, then WHSmith, Woollies etc. Failing a Wii i'll probably buy a X360 or new graphics card and RAM for my comp (probs with a copy of Oblivion). Worst part is i'll have to go to bed about 10 because work want me in at 6:30am the next morning

I just stood on my MX51s Told you i went through headphones fast! Buying a pair of MXL51s tomorrow. Basically the same headphones but they have a cord that goes round the neck. The theory is that this cord will stop me dropping them on the floor and treading on them (because the headphone will only be able to fall about 10cm from my neck) Ah well, thats another £16 down the drain

TBH multiplayer PC FPS can be quite brutal if your new, theres a lot to get used to and players in some games (mainly Counterstrike) are pretty intollerant. Try the singleplayer modes in F.E.A.R, Half-Life 2 and Unreal Tournament 2004 until your used to the controls. For multiplayer, UT2004 should be your first choice. If you dont like it then theres tons of mods available! Cant beat a bit of Red Orchestra for WWII action or Frag.Ops for a CS clone Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising might be a good bet these days aswell. Buying it tomorrow from GAME for £5 (including the expansion pack). Its a shooter set in the near future, 'sequel' to Delta Force: Black Hawk Down (one of my favourite online games, good community) and features up to 150 players online in a single game! (still the most of all FPS, even after a good 2 years!) If not then try Enemy Territory, mostly because its free (not tried it myself yet). Cant really recommend CS:S to anyone new myself, most of the players are horrible little kids who rip on anyone and everyone. I got bored of it after a few months and went back to Red Orchestra and Delta Force: Black Hawk Down.

Yeah, the wire is a little on the long side. At a guess i'd say about 4ft, comes with a clip so you can coil the extra wire up though

That is Nintendo's fault. 3rd Party launch games havent exactly had oodles of time to go from drawing board to being on the shelves. The only alternative Ubisoft had was to push games back

I go through a pair every few months, tend to trap them in doors/stand on them + stuff My current pair are Sennheisser MX51s. Best pair of headphones ive ever had, comfortable whilst still having top sound quality. Cost me £15 from HMV imo they top what sony/philips can do for that price
