    For the same reasons he hasn't gone after other players he has said have good quality in the past..... Oh and talk about an over-exageration.... He said he was a good player, he didn't "go bananas" over him. lol

     

    Like Arsene said in his most recent interview "we don't collect strikers." :-/

     

    thing is... even though you dont collect them, you need themmore than ever. lets face it, IMO, theo is not good enough, da silva is not proven (reminds me of forlans (great potential but failed badly) saga). that leavs only van persi (class act) and adubayor (good but no the best if you know what i mean). you need at least 2 top class strikers and 1 more good player as a sub and a last resort squad player.

    oh dear lord why have we taken Kevin Lisbie on trial. I will be so pissed if we sign him, 16 goals in 155 apperances for Charlton ffs.

     

    i have a better record than him.

     

    iv scored 4 goals in around 40 competative matches.

     

     

    *by competative i mean tournaments based on 11 a side since i was 14

    I don't understand why people claim that Russia would win simply on Nukes. Do you not realise the state of Russia's nuclear weapons?

     

    around 11,500 nukes with around 1000 more missing. good condition or not, out of those 11,000, at least 100 would actually cause damage.

     

    regarding their airforce, although they dont have advanced plances like B2, A117 and other stealth bombers, they do have the MIG series which was designed to compete with the F series (F15/16/18/22), even though it failed badly, russia still has one of the most advanced missile defence and offence systems in the world. they also have price in their submarines but should the war be done in water, UK would win as they have probably the best navy (just behind the US).

    on the other note, china and russia alliance would be something tasty to see. the red army awakens! then we can have a C&C game besed on it.

    im sure russia economy isnt sixth. i mean its USA, Japan, Germany, UK, France, China, Italy. i could be worng though coz its part of the G8.

     

    id say russia would win, more nukes, more military (numbers) and a larger population. its probably still the second strongest nation after USA, closely followed by china.

    agreed with regards to english players generally over priced even though they are at lower quality (Bent 17 million, crouch 20 million while players like van nistelrooy 10-15 million, klose 11 million, toni 5 million, Quagliarella estimated at 7 million, henry 17 million). all those player are miles ahead in regards to quality compared to crouch.

     

    PS. Brazil win copa america 3-0 with good goals from baptista and alvez.

    PSS. alves has great potential, great dribbling and crossing and amaizing speed and technique, should see him for chelsea next season but can he hack the EPL?

    clearly you have missed two of the hottest players in the EPL season 2006/2007 berbatov and tevez. I also assume you havnt seen Quagliarella play.

     

    PS. how did owen make it to that list? didnt do well in spain, hardly played here in the UK after he returned. That bias in your oppinion has clearly blineded you in selecting crouch in your top 10 strikers.

    I'd say if you rate Crouch at £7 Million then you seriously don't watch him enough.

     

    That or you like jumping band wagons..

     

    For the Record I personally think Crouch is worth around that mark, however he will not perform better for other clubs. His best days where at this club and hopefully continue to be so.

     

    i never rated him as a top class striker, he lacks quality even though he does have his day, but who doesnt. 20 mil gets you world class strikers. luca toni (top goal scorer in italian league and many more in world cup) went for 5 million for god sake and hes a top notch striker, and lets be honest, crouch is no where near his standerd.

     

    would you put him on your top 10 strickers? i know many others wouldnt.

    I'd like to bring in an extra defender, but to be honest, I think any team would have struggled with both their first choice centre-backs out. Luckily, we still had the likes of Wes Brown, John O'shea, etc to step in when needed. Although, we were more than a bit screwed when the entire backline were out.

    yet we still managed to pull together, only major problem was against milan but we adapted and played 4-5 games without out back 4. so we do have depth.

     

    problem is, you cant but a world class diffender and expect him to be on the bench or cover. your subs are alway lower quality players hence come handy in bad times and are quite when there are no injuries. big players moan when they dont get reguler football.

    That's why it's always dangerous to have such an outstanding player on your team. We rely on Ronaldo too much, I think. We need to change that. We need other players who can have an effect on the game, like Scholes, Giggs, Rooney. I can't wait to see what Nani and Anderson can do for our team.

     

    Anderson is one of the main player for brazil in copa america, him kaka and ronaldinho are the playmakers. we didnt splash out 16 million for nothing. Nani and anderson will slowly get integrated into the team first as subs then start ups then full on game after game, much like ronaldo when he joined united. fergi is preparing them for next season to replace scholes and giggs.

     

    PS, 58 million for torres? WTF? and if liverpool wont pay, internazional will?

    arsenal signe a striker called da silva whos from croatia, i think for around 7 million. hes got a good goal ratio but can he cut the prem?

    united have officially signed hargreeves, it means that either carrick or anderson or scholes will need to be dropped and seeing how anderson needed a work permit ot get to united, i dont think he will miss many games as it wont get renewed next year.

    you cant compare henry, veiras departures to rudd and beckham. the arsenal lads left while the united due were forced out ie. sold even though they wanted to stay.

     

    funny how henry said he will "always be a gunner", im sorry, so why are you leaving? if hes doing it for trophies and success (league title and CL) then thats the biggest insult to the fans and kinda reinforces my point of arsenal are not that big of a team (due to lack of quality players).

     

    PS. its a very big insult to have your captin leave (not forced out like keane) twice in a row.

     

    @ramar: how many players out of hoyte, clichey, flamini, hleb, theo, adubyour, fabregas, rosicky van persi and gilberto silva would make it into a barcelona, Milan, chelsea and united lineup? probably only silva, cesc and van persi.
