as great as ruud is, hes not versitile/dynamic enough, you cant use him in counter attack as he lacks pace and movement with regards to width. thats why i think fergie sold him and used saha instead, his pace and ability to run at players. thats what liverpool have found in torres, a player that as well as being a goal scorer, can do other things like go wide to make space, create own chances, stuff outside the box (ruud lacked) and pace. Huntelaar is very similer to with regards to torres with a fantastic scoring record. proble here is what will happen to tevez, roony, saha and players like dong and anderson. just like rossi left,will they?

Utd: nani, ronaldo, giggs, scholes carrick and hargreeves Chelsea: essien, mikel, lampard, cole, ballack, SWP and maluda AC: kaka, guttuso, seedorf, pirlo and emmerson barcelona: Xavi, ronaldinho, iniesta, deco and toure i think all the above are in there for the best mid in the world, a mix of experiace and talent + class and you can make a complete mid from them. i think liverpool still lack behind in terms of offecsive department in mid compared to the teams above but with no doubt, along with milan are the solidest team there.

I must disagree with the best mid in the world. Its probably the narrowest mid in the world. if you remember utds best midfiel was keane, becks, giggs and scholes. i think chelsea have the best with lampard, SWP, Essien and meluda (was better with robben). untds medfield now is still fragile and has not gelled yet. keep in mind i would have mascher and gerrard at utd any day but essien would top mascher and no room for alonso and sissoco. i would have agreed if you said you have a good mid but not the best in the world.

stop living in the past mate. as morinho said last season if you remember, "we played 20 games while liverpool only play 6" coz all they do is focus on is one trophy. a cp team mate, a cup team for the past 15 years. i do agree that they can pull off great results but cant keep it going, not championship material for past years. this season shows some concistancy but how long will it last?

note that liverpool have almost a fit squad so far till gerrard was injured (why wasnt carraghar playing last game?). united have missed roony, saha and neville along with ronaldo. exactly, evra had to act o prevent damage, he shouldnt have to do that, under what justification is it possible to launge like that at the ball? evra is under no obligation to raise his foot to prevent harm. ie, there was danger to the player with the ball to be damaged. thats why almost all challenges from behind are red cards should the ref see that there was/is danger to player in posession. edit: rofl at ants love for over-rated liverpool players, ahh i remember when they (liverpool fans) glorified mcmanimen(sp?) and compared him to the great Giggs. its like comparing alan shearer to clinton morrison. another one was "Kewlle to be better than giggs". edit 2: carrager wouldnt make it to anyone dream team either apart from liverpool fans ones. defenders id put before i chose him include rio, vidic, terry, toure, carvalhio, ben hiem and dawson

regarding the sending off and red card discussion. personally i think he should be sent off as it could have given evra a broken leg. those kind of challenges are career threatening. remember keane vs city? and many more. the fact that teams like blackburn, everton, darby, wigan and middlsborough (and other clubs) play such a physical game, much like a battle feild (mainly coz they cant play proper football) rather than a football match, actually means they deserve to get sent off. remember what happened to ronaldo VS Boro last year? pure hate, just coz the defender has to ability to match ronaldo, he goes on and takes him out. i think the FA should crack down on teams that apply this physical approach to games to protect players from some thugs that are practically in the wrong sport (better off in rugby or boxing).
