Gold is absolutely the right colour for every Zelda game, except Majora's Mask. Has to be dark green or purple like you say.

2017/8 for the next home console sounds a safe bet, with the new handheld a year before. You're reading too much into things again

Thanks for the heads up @Hero\-of\-Time, ordered one of each + an extra one of Toad to open and use. Still two months before release though, feels like ages. And yeah I can't see why people would order from anywhere other than the Nintendo UK store 99% of the time. It's cheap, free delivery and their packaging is very secure. Just need to keep checking for them to update their stock. edit: yes please to a Birdo amiibo!

Yeah I don't see a huge problem with the swimming change, trying to swim in tight spaces was a huge hassle in the original. This game looks gorgeous, I don't remember being that impressed by OOT 3D compared to the original. Maybe it was the yellow filter and green water that put me off that one.

Few games announced for this year? Captain Toad, Mario Party 10, Splatoon, Yoshi, Kirby, Xenoblade, Zelda, Mario Maker, Starfox, Devil's Third, Project Guard, Project Giant Robot + Mario Kart DLC and whatever they announce in Directs/E3 for release later this year. That's far from a grim release schedule!

Nintendo like to reveal and release in quick succession. At E3 2013 they revealed titles that were further along out of necessity (there just wasn't much else to talk about). Now they're too busy talking about Zelda, X, Mario Maker, Splatoon, Yoshi, Kirby, Starfox, Mario Party, amiibos etc, and it would be stupid to mention 2016 games at this early stage. E3 will no doubt have a few though obviously.

I assume they'll be on Nintendo UK store this time next month. Safest place to pre-order really. Cheap and they come very well packaged. If anyone sees a Megaman restocked on Ninty store could you post in here please. Argos cancelled my order as well.

Why should it be higher on THEIR list of most anticipated games?

I actually opened my first amiibo just now. My favourite ever game is Wind Waker so I thought Toon Link would be appropriate to open first. Love it, the quality is great. I think the Smash Bros dynamic poses will prove far more popular than the more stable Super Mario set ones.

They basically goth the cash equivalent of nine Wii U games from me in just a few months. I paid £25 for Little Mac on amazon but it's got this annoying sticker right in the middle of the packaging that can't be removed. Bit annoying.

Should have been clearer, I managed to get a Rosalina a minute or two before it sold out. I did just order a second Megaman to open though from Argos, so thanks for the suggestion!

No but I'll take that Rosalina! Seeing them all lined up like that really makes it clear how nice the packaging is. Imagine a platformer similar to Mario 3D World but with amiibo characters in various themed levels/worlds. Please let it happen at E3 !!

Maybe they don't want to release a Super Mario series and a Captain Toad one at the same time. If there's ever DLC levels down the line that would be a good time to start a new series. Edit: The Bowser amiibo is fantastic, great quality

I can't say I ever found Mario U to be particularly hard, at all in fact. Nintendo games are so easy these days that a bit of challenge is welcome anyway IMO. That said I do remember it being a bit of a chore to get through. The levels just felt so similar and repetitive. The Van Gogh inspired one looked great but all it amounted to was jumping from pipe to pipe.
