Gutted I missed this. Yet to play Rocket with friends!

How to you join a friend match. I can see people are online?

was about to go and buy Doom and thought to myself that I really only have time for 1 multiplayer shoot em up and I don't have Splatoon 2 So bottom line which one should I get? I have very fond memories of multiplayer Quake back in the day, if that has some relevance.

I'm up for being fodder on both tonight. Played 1 match of Rocket League last night and struggled, hopefully I'll improve in time! Will pick up Doom shortly but tonight will probably be the first time I play it.

I was really going to try and manage my purchases on the Switch but it's my birthday next week so what the heck! Rocket League digital purchase last night, doom and Skyrim retail purchase today. Plus a couple more eshop games. I loved the off road dx game on Wii U so that's a must plus probably crazy golf and chess. I'm not going to be very sociable this Christmas

anybody having issues with the eshop? My saved card is being rejected and when I try and enter new card details it just loops back to the verify details screen.

The Switch has truly arrived and just in time for Christmas, but I do have concerns that so many games launching within a few weeks of each other could really damage their sales. I bought everything for Wii U and still have games that I've never played so this time around I'm trying to only buy one game at a time, but DAMN it's hard.

I'm absolutely loving the Switch right now, can't put it down and because of it's portability I generally don't have to. There were some dark days after Zelda and it sat in the dock for many a week, but now I don't know how I'm going to fit in time to play all the games I've got and Skyrim and Doom are just around the corner. #lightninginabottle AGAIN lols

What tactic are people liking thus far?

Is Skyrim Zeldaesque? I'm looking for another single player epic and assume this will tick the box?

What's your friend code? I know we can't play each other! The inexplicable defeats have always been an issue on ultimate team and they tend to come in runs. I think I only made Div 2 once on The PlayStation but a small part of me is hoping it might be easier on Switch due to the younger players. On PS4 UT was the only mode I played but on this version I'm trying everything so I'm only into my 3rd season. Luckily I packed a OTW card which I sold for £130k which has enabled me to have a strong squad.

has anybody else noticed that there seems to be a "muscle" injury in just about every game you play.

What is tactical defending? At the moment I'm finding scoring a breeze, albeit in Div 9/10. I'd spent a good year in and around Div 4 on PS4 so maybe it's just the drop in class.

I'm not sure who would need to patch it, Nintendo or EA but either way surely it will happen sooner rather than later. It is bloody annoying when you get the notification that a friend is playing Fifa and there is absolutely bugger all you can do about it. What's the issue with the defending?

I'm just getting going. I skipped Fifa 17 so the Squad Builder is new to me and I'm totally hooked. I've just done the Atletico vs Barca challenge and got some great stuff in the resulting pack. I've just won the title in my first division in UT and have played one game in seasons. Plus I'm half way through a FUT draft.

I was interested in this. Does it play like the old R-Type/Nemesis games?

In terms of "market share" that must be at neck and neck with PS4 or better considering the ratio of console sales. Hopefully this will be the game that shows 3rd parties they can have success on Switch if they release a proper port.

once you're in Ultimate Team it's the "single player" tab. The same tournaments are also available online but will obviously be against humans. You can't really lose the starter cup and bronze cup in single player mode and will give you a better idea how UT works. I too found it very daunting the first time I played it.

To start play in offline mode and do the starter cup and bronze cup. That will earn you some loot and get you used to to the menus etc. Also do the the skill challenges and manager tasks. Come back after that for tips on the transfer market and squad building if you need it. Good luck.

How is it poor? If PS4 has sold 50 million and Switch has sold 5 million then if they sold like for like copies Switch would equal 10% of the market share. Factor in XB1 and the legacy consoles and 1% is probably where you would expect it to be. Sure not everybody still plays PS3 & 360 but there are the best part of 200 million of them out there. It only takes 10% of that install base to buy FIFA to blow Switch sales out of the water. Market share is pointless unless the install bases are the same.
