I still think Captain Falcon has it better than Pichu or Mewtwo. Brawl's Bowser has more of a chance than Melee's Bowser, or at least that's how it feels like.

I'd say he's better than regular Link. You sacrifice a little strength, range and weight for better projectiles, speed and a better aerial game. But when playing online, the importance of range is amplified, so it comes down to the player.

Afaik tabuu trophy is only obtainable through challenges. I don't remember any items spawning against him.

Were you expecting Geno or something? It really doesn't get more complete than Brawl. I can admit I was a bit disappointed with the clone FSes, TL and a third star fox rep over say another metroid rep, but it's as good as it gets.

The character roster is a buzz kill?

Brawl is a multiplayer game, I can't imagine how boring it must be to finish some of those single player challenges (clearing X with all characters) I played SSE once and I don't intend to play it again, it'll be straight one stock suicides to unlock the characters.

They won't help you for 4 player FFA's with items, but http://youtube.com/user/getyourtournament has a TON of tournament-level players duking it out.

As a owner of NTSC brawl I decided against updating too. Looks like I made a good call.

There is very likely a ping limit for the automatch-making system so the people you're playing are all europeans. As you can guess that gives us a pretty limited number right now.

Classic controller and gamecube would work fine, and who plays street fighter for the graphics? Honestly look at the trailer they're using a cartoonish style I don't know what amazing graphics you're both expecting but I'm sure they're something the wii can handle.
