Went into Gamestation today and they had them out on the shelves. Guess the GAME Rep was talking out of his backside.official or 3rd party?

i got confirmation from my game supplier that the official component cables are released tomorrow, unless they are delayed again
-
Thanks for clarifying that unfortunately though I have received the cable today and it wasn't what I was expecting at all, it's not VGA as it has been suggested to be by a couple of sources and it's not DVI either, apperently from what I could research online it's "DFP" ? there doesn't seem to be a port for it on the bacl on my HDTV for it in any case like I was expecting there to be.The only way I could think of in order to get it to work would be to use the HDMI / DVI in port, which would involve purchasing a HDMI to DVI cable and then a DVI to DFP converter which might not even work and will most likely degrade the signal in the process I guess.
*sigh* looks like £20 wasted my only other option now is to get a component cable, except my TV only has one component input which is taken
up by my 360, so I would need to buy a splitter to get two inputs which again would most likely degrade the signal, or I could use VGA for my 360 but I've heard that leads to colour bleeding, dk if thats true though.
Arrrgggh! why can't there just be one Uber cable with all possible connections for the Wii? stupid question I know as it's not really viable but I am slightly annoyed by this, I just want to play Zelda in better picture quality then composite / scart, even though it looks fine I know it could look better with component. meh... *rant over*
buy this to sort your component connect problems

i have it works fine, it darkens the 360 picture by a bit (it makes it look better)but DOES NOT degrade the 360 pic quality, then u have 4 more spaere component slots
-
Hi all,Just wondering if anyone's seen this, for sale on Amazon (among other sites). I can't post links yet, but just search for "Joytech power station" on Amazon and it'll come up.
It's a rechargeable batterry pack/charger for the Wii-mote - does anyone have any experience of using this? If so, what do you think of it? How long does it last between charges, and will it take regular recharges without losing battery life? Thanks for any advice, as I'm very tempted to get one of these!
it ain't out yet

Thread Suggested By BlenderLaunch day has come and has almost gone. Some of you were left feeling disappointed, whilst some of you are rejoicing with your new consoles.
So, how did your retailer pull through? Did Game leave you out in the cold? Were you part of the crew who were shafted by Gameplay? Was WoolWorthes your saving grace?
Talk about it here.
well my experience with curry's (online) was fantastic, apart from the 10% discount and free delivery, i was told i would get the console 5 days after launch but low and behold on launch day it arrived, wow simply awesome now i know who i will be pre ordering my PS3 from and hopefully there will be another discount code posted

Anyone ? PM me
official cables are delayed till some time next week
-
some amusement while where waiting
"Heba Elgamal, who had been camping outside the store in an alley for two days, was first in line for a console at the HMV store, and it was presented to him by Ian Wright. Elgamal bought The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess with his purchase, and Wright asked him if Zelda was a fighting game--which didn't go down well with the crowd."
ahh bless him

There might be some games in stock I want Wii playmy asda has Call of duty 3 and tony hawks out on the self now ready to buy, no Zelda though
-
"Everything except component cables, any idea when they'll be getting em' Pyxis?"Some had theirs despatched today, a few will get theres before christmas, but I think that the vast majority of people will have to wait until January and beyond. They are more popular than the RGB cables...although its not as if we have had enough of those either....ahhhh. Is this really Nintendo or Microsoft we are talking about? There are even supply problems with super monkey ball...lol
so the cables are not delayed but just out of stock?
-
I wish I was at a midnight launch, sounds like a hell of a lotta fun.
me too but i got a early lecture tomorrow, to which can not miss so i guess it gonar be the PS3 launch that i will be going to at midnight
-
Yeah it has, my friend at Virgin says they expect some next weekI still am amused by the fact that Gameplay are great and all, but they send me 3 Nunchucks and not the 2 Wiimotes to go with them :p
man that sucks, oh well i guess i can wait a little longer to play zelda at its best, back to gears of war then

HAs the component cable been delayed?
i am asking this because all my wii stuff has been dispatched except for this, so what is the deal has it been delayed?
-
Just called Game and got a bit of unfortunate news. No, Wii is still coming tomorrow... just the component cable isn't. Composite Cryday it is, then.To summarise, this is what I have put in my bag:
- Wii + Wii Sports
- Zelda
- Wii Play
- Monkey Ball
My sister has
- Wii + Wii Sports
- Zelda
- Wii Play
Really gutted about the Component cable situation and Play Asia letting me down, but hopefully Zelda is still playable. There's always the CRT in the living room afterall.
so has the component cable been delayed then? or is it just with Game?

my 2nd email arrived yesterday at 4:30pm
NOTE Currys and PC world operate under the same business group, thus the ordering system is th e same
