I dont think Nintendo have anything to worry about personally. How often have add ons for consoles made them wipe out the competition hmmmm lets think 1) Mega CD - nope. 2) N64 expansion pak - no. 3) Mega drive 32x - na. 4) SNES - super scope - no game support. 5) Bongas for cube - worked with 4 games (was cool though but hardly something you could use with every game!). probably loads more but cant be arsed to think of them! Anyway my point is they may very well release an item like this for other next gen consoles but how many games will actually use it? it's a double edged sword really if no games support it - it won't sell and if doesn't sell they won't make games for it. Basically for a new next gen controller to work it would have to come with the console hence the Wii wins - games have been developed for it from the start.

Looks like a poor mans resident evil to me.

Surely it's Wii Sports as it isn't on the list - strange they haven't called it that though.

I may have the solution if your buying instore and Gamplay and others haven't dropped their prices like Play.com have at the moment. You still will be able to save money off the recommend retail price if you buy them from HMV onl launch day. I was in my local HMV this week and they have a free mag called HMV Games (which is pretty crappy) but there are money off vouchers inside: £5 off a game if you spend over £35. £8 off if you spend over £60. I'd personally use the £5 off vouchers on any games (you get four of each by the way but as its a free mag you can grab more if needed) so the most you'll pay for zelda instore is £34.99. I think the other online stores (Gameplay etc) will follow suit with Play.com and I'm waiting to see their prices drop as they will deliver your game on launch day or if your lucky the day before! however if they don't HMV is a good alternative as its only a couple of quid more than Play.com. I have ordered my Wii from Game (no 9 on list) and reckon they'll match HMV's discounted games prices if you show them the vouchers if not it's their loss - either way your still gonna get your games cheaper! Hope this helps - and obviously if anyone has any more money saving info then add to this thread.

Quick News - According to Dengeki Online, SNK (known for King of the Fighters and Metal Slug) is bringing DokiDoki Majosaiban to the DS and Wii. It translates as 'Exciting Witch Trial' and sees players undress young women to see which are witches or not. Don't expect a Western release though... -

Well if it is thats probably a good thing but Japan does bring out some weird stuff! -
I tend to disagree remember this? Two million Wii units have already been built, with many, many more to be produced by the year's end... Nintendo are well on target to meet their expected Wii shipments this year, with 2 million of the consoles already completed in this year's third quarter - according to Alex Guana, a semiconductor analyst. Guana went on to say that the figure of units produced will be between 7 to 9 million by the end of the year, a significant amount ahead of the Big N's previously announced 6 million unit production goal. I think there will be enough to meet all preoordered Wii's Mind you if not I still should be ok - I'm no 9 on my game stores list!

It's a bit of fun - I don't see it being groundbreaking but like I said it's free so stop the moaning. hmmmmm maybe I've been a bit harsh - damn well now I've offended everyone I better brace for impact - batton down the hatches! -

Yeah I hope theres more than one course. -
The more people buy games online at the lower price (well just play.com at the moment but I'm sure more will follow suit) and refuse to buy them from their local game stores is bound to make them think twice about the high prices they charge (well I can hope!) at least the Wii games are significantly cheaper than it's competitors this generation.

Ok sounds good to me

This is bizarre I cant believe a 17 year old is having a dig at me on here but if you want me to cover these points and go waaaaaaaaaay off topic thats fine. 1. I was pointing out there are games cheaper than £32.99 in a humourous way hell I started this thread and pointed out games were dropping in price - but dont thank me for the heads up. 2. It's called sarcasm why would I leave because of you? 3. I started this thread and included a link hence what I said was fact - I proved it. 4. Well from your tone on here I could make a few judgements about you but I won't - hey I bet your a really swell guy once people get to know you! (thats sarcasm!). 5. and yet you judge me immature - fair enough mate thats your opinion. 6. Of course it was a joke - get this man a sense of humour bypass quick! :p
-
oh I'm sorry if having a sense of humour is immature. Jeez I better leave this forum then............................... hang on sod that I'm getting lectured by a 17 year old about maturity! Wow I'm impressed you can judge me as being immature by a few comments I make on here - you must be a fantastic judge of character! - well I won't lower myself to judge you Mr Poopy Pants! Why dont you leave for old gits like me!

Cheers man, nice to see another elder statesman of gaming on here!

Hope this puts this issue/concern to rest: Iwata: This so-called “beam†connecting the user and the television was something that had never been attempted before. Didn’t you run into any difficulties during development? Ikeda: In the early stages of development we ran into a number of problems that we hadn’t anticipated, like the fact that the controller would react to fluorescent light, for example. Creating a mechanism that prevents the controller from responding to fluorescent light and sunlight may sound like low-profile activities, but it still gave us a lot to work on. As I stated above, this is from a past entry in the “Iwata Interviewsâ€. Sounds like Nintendo has indeed fixed, or minimalized the sun/fluorescent light issue. The sunlight issue may depend on what demo units/sensor bars are being used. If the issue did indeed exist at the Nintendo World Store, it seems the case could have been older demo units/sensor bars.

Wow thanks for the informative and accurate opinion you have - now just run along and spend £60 on your PS3 game!
-
Thank you blender!

So how about a Wii game for £3? Well thats how much Wiiplay will cost you from from Play.com. Wiimotes are still priced £29.99 so therefore the Wiiplay game costs £3 Total cost - £32.99 - Bargain!
-
If you order them now at that price thats the price you will pay - if you preordered them at the higher price you will still pay the lower price.
