  1. So yeah. In London. Had a couple fun encounters through clubs / Grindr and whathaveyou. Also met a friend of a friend / I've followed him on Twitter for ages, so I feel like I know him, and I'm really drawn to him.

He's Irish (from Dublin) and he is 28. He works in a gay sex shop in Soho and -- hear me out because this sounds weird, but isn't -- this is the hottest thing. He's surprisingly *normal* elsewise, doing a masters in Journalism and whathaveyou; you might not suspect this, given I always assumed you'd have to be quite weird / wired in a particular way to sell fetish gear for a living. HOWEVER, he's not. And it's hot, because he knows a shit load about sex. Like, he knows the best lube to use, the best way to orgasm, how to tie bondage safely etc etc, and it's all a bit heroic, and I'm into the fact he's a standard person, but has that queer element that he makes his living from telling repressed nervous old Chinese men which dildo is best to use.

So yeah, I charmed him with my brown eyes (which he made into a thing, I didn't exactly propagate this feature), and consequently we had great sex, in my friend's brother's bed (whoops).

And my favourite thing is, I can just be Miley, because he's followed my twitter for ages [where I pour my heart and soul and being out onto], and he loves it, and is 95% the reason he sexed me, given he can probably do better than me. So all is full of love. And we're going to get bagels together tomorrow as a wee date.

  2. Just watched this,

    [HANNA]

Was a little half baked but I thought it was fantastic. Saoirse Ronan is phenomenal. She really makes the film. Very promising actress.

I loved. It felt like it could have been directed by me and Paj. So many joke elements, and overbearing imagery.

  3. Northstar is probably one of the coolest characters in Marvel. It doesn't help the discussion, but it needed saying.

Have you read Supernovas, where he's ripped out from under the Hydra ice/cyrogenics/whatever, and gets mind controlled to attack the X-Men, and wastes Rogue despite her stealing his powers? The greatest.

And I love Aurora, his sist, having multiple personalities.

  4. (I find referring to the gunman as nutter/idiot/insane takes away from the severity of the situation, trivialises it. To grant someone the liberty of insanity or stupidity is almost defending them. Attack them for what they are: a calculated human being.)

  5. The Batwoman art looks stunning.

    Read We3 and All-Star Superman.

The former is great. Really compact. Quite sad. So much packed into so little. Will probably be thinking about it more.

I loved All-Star Superman. A series of joke stories. Felt really interesting and fun; I wish that were the real Superman universe. I love Frank Quitely's art too. Lois Lane having a stunning face.

Also in the middle of reading X-Men: Supernovas. Rogue is fierce as fuck. Chris Bachalo is my best - I love how you have to study the page, because so much is going on. Kinda hate the feeling of the villains, but it's fine, because the X-Men team is stunning. Iceman/Mystique: YES. Northstar/Aurora feel a bit shoehorned in / a bit "...", obviously just finding a way to revive Northstar. And I love introducing Karima and Lady Mastermind, but then barely using them. Because really, why would you, when we're more stunned by Rogue/Iceman?

I feel the issue where Serafina lives 20 years inside Cannonball's head would be the greatest thing, if it were drawn by Chris Bachalo. Clayton Henry's work is the most uninspiring thing, to the point that it makes the story/dialogue feel worse than it actually is. Like, I don't understand what Marvel were playing at... I don't understand why you'd have stunning art, then the most boring facile piece of shit next issue? Literally makes no sense.

  6. Auto-tuned so much. There's no need for actual humans in pop anymore.

    I love the feeling though.

I just rock back and forth, shaking my hands/wrists, feeling emotionally distraught.

I'll be the Rose Of Sharon for you.

I'll be the Lily Of The Valley for you.

I'll be Isolde or Marian for you.

I'll come in a hurricane for you.

    I'll do it for you.

    Wa-Ba-Boom.
