  1. New 3DS launching next month along with Majora's Mask 3D. £180 for the standard model and £220-£240 for the XL.

Amiibo support and DLC for Captain Toad revealed. Extra stages based on other characters, similar to the Sonic Lost World DLC maybe?

Yoshi's Woolly World releasing February in Europe, and May for rest of the world.

SNES Remix trailer, no release date but coming soon. NES Remix 1 + 2 retail bundle for Europe maybe?

Mario Maker final trailer - worldwide launch in March.

A only on 'New 3DS' game shown. It's a racing game or platformer.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse released on the eShop after the Direct.

  2. So when does everyone reckon this'll come out? I'm hoping for March but I'm expecting mid June.

I'm pretty sure the Nintendo store had mid Feb up as a date on the product page for the game for a few moments after pre-orders were announced. If there's a Nintendo Direct announced in the next 2 weeks, I'm hopeful we will see it released in February, along with the New3DS maybe?

  3. My 3DS has continued to be busy, as I use it on a daily basis to pass the time on the commute to work and social gatherings.

  4. My first set of Amiibo's arrived today. Saw them in person for the first time and had a play with them at our local StreetPass event over the weekend, and I couldn't resist ordering a few!

A friend has picked up Kirby for me and I'm also hoping to get a Villager before the end of the year. Will get Mario, Link and Pikachu someday, not that bothered about the rest of the first wave. Hoping we see Wario and Bowser Jr soon!

Now to train my DK in time for the Amibo tournament on the 22nd!

  5. Got this from Amazon for under £20 last week and I've been enjoying it a lot more than anticipated. The online leaderboards for each stage means I'm constantly trying my best to break into the top regional rankings, so looks like I'll get more mileage from this version than if I'd purchased the Wii U version(s).

  6. Incase someone fancies making a trip to North Wales on the 2nd of August :-

SPNW and friends present "Summer Holiday in North Wales"

Doesn't matter where you are in the UK, come up to sunny Bangor for a day on the coast, full of fun, games, tournaments and of course StreetPasses! This event is not to be missed! :D

The final of MiiVision will be held at this event, with a certificate and special prize for 1st place!

  7.

How many Wii U games do you lot all have then??? I only got my console six months ago and my collection has recently ballooned to what seems to be a pretty good selection.

The European spines are so much better than the ugly ones the US ended up with!

  8. Played in Nintendo UK's 32 race Grand Prix/tournament this afternoon, and ended up 6th. Would be higher if some of the games had more players racing participating. Anywhoo, it was good fun, and if anyone else wants to take part, the code is 5447-0653-9881.

And @welshgamer...holy crap at your score. Good god man.

I'm sure lostmario or RedShell have passed the 3000 mark by now

I'm another who hasn't experienced many problems online. Sure there's been a few communication errors in lobbies, but I can count them all on one hand, and I've been online a lot during the past week.

  9. Ended up second in North Wales' Mario Kart 8 launch event. The final round of the tournament ended up in a draw for first place, so myself and the other victor had a tie-breaker on Rainbow Road 64. T'was a neck and neck race, and we both got hit by a Chain Chomp along the way, but despite holding onto the lead for the majority of the race, on the last jump near the finish line, he gained the advantage and my red shell failed to lock on to him! Reaction in the room was loud and crazy! No cup this time, but I'm glad it was a memorable race and I still got to go home with £20 eShop credit and a Mario Kart 8 standee

    The tie-breaker (I'm Baby Mario) :-
