  1. I've been to 2 in London and 1 in Birmingham back in 2008-2009, and recently attended a few local one's here in North Wales. I can't imagine going down to the the big conventions nowadys as I'm sure the amount of people who attend have doubled or tripled! Like Cube, I enjoy the casual nature of the smaller local con, plus I don't have to book train tickets or a hotel

Had a lot of fun at Wrexham on Sat. Cosplayed as Han Solo and shouted out "Ben!" whenever I saw a Kylo Ren cosplayer, met Veronica Taylor, the voice of Ash Kethchum and Xander Berkley, 24's George Mason, attended some interesting panels and enjoyed browsing the stalls, identifying cosplayers and playing a few video games.

  2. Did anyone else download Star Ghost?

It's really addictive. Spent a good hour with it almost every day since launch. It seems pretty basic at first but does have a lot of hidden depth. The gameplay mechanis are solid and original and the soundtrack has a War of the Worlds vibe to it. As the reviews and impressions say it is basically a cross between the rocket barrel levels from Retro's Donkey Kong Country, Geometry Wars and Balloon Trip. Highly recommended!

The only negative is that there is no online leaderboards, but I'm hopeful they'll be added to the game in the future.

  3. I'm expecting the same as about everybody else but here's a few wildcards :-

Mario Strikers United for Wii U shown.

'New 3DS only' game shown. Donkey Kong Land Returns? Kid Icarus 2? Diddy Kong Racing 2? Wario something or other?

A complicated voice chat app for the Wii U operating system.

Mario Maker releasing in July with pixelated amiibo range similar to these :-

  4. Gotta say I'm having lots of fun with the Ironfall Campaign. It's just your basic third person cover based shooter with a few touch screen based puzzles to solve now and again, but it looks good for a 3DS eShop title and I'm happy with the controls. Has a nice old school feel to it, and the missions last longer that some you find in console shooters these days.

Probably won't purchase the full onlne multiplayer. What you get in the trial pack is enough for me to get my fix from.
