    Why do I get bored of music really quickly? I suppose it's the same for everyone but still...

     

    I loved Britney's album "Circus" and used to play it all the time, for about 2 weeks, now, it just bores me.

     

    I mean I can still listen to it, but I don't get the same enjoyment from it.

     

    It's like that with every album though, except Christina Aguilera's, they have never bored me <3

    Anyway please everyone ignore all my how do I partition on Linux bollocks I am getting a brand spanking new Samsung NC10 today! Should I put Windows 7 on it? worth the effort?

     

    Yes you should, it runs fine on it :)

     

    EDIT: One problem I have found, when it goes to sleep, and you wake it back up, the sound doesn't seem to work after that :/

     

    So you have to restart it if you want the sound back.

    She can and has sung Fly on the Wall live at the AMA's. :grin: Well I thought it was a good performance. :D

     

    I agree she sounds great for a 16 year old and I love her voice as it seems completely different. I like the fact that she writes/co writes her songs such as "7 things" they are not the greatest of lyrics but the fact that she is only 16 means she has a lot of time to mature and I hope she does bring out a fantastic 2nd album as that will really prove she has talent. (which I think she has.)

     

    Anywho my favourites off the Album are "Simple Song, See You Again, Hovering and Fly on the Wall!"

     

    yeah she is unashamedly my favourite artist! :grin:

     

    Haggis you should try some songs out from her Meet Miley CD! There are some good ones that I think you will enjoy! :) I watched an interview thing with her today and she comes off natural and I think she has a great fun personality!

     

    I actually prefer "Meet Miley Cyrus".

     

    Didn't really get into Breakout.

    It would have had a different price sticker on the front (different design) and if you're really attentative a different barcode on the back :p

     

    Although if its from the one opposite River Island go complain to the manager. He's an odd tiny fellow who I once went on a stag do with. Crazy times I assure you...

     

    Meh, I stupidly didn't check till I got back.

     

    And yes it was the one opposite River Island, I dunno whether I can be bothered to go complain, if i remember I will XD

    Nice to hear it works well on a netbook :) my advent doesn't have a CD drive and I don't have a big enough USB device so I haven't tried it powered by atom yet...

     

    I stole my sisters external cd drive :P

     

    But yeah, runs smooth on it, would say a little bit slower than xp, just a tiny bit though, but to be fair I haven't had a long enough session on it to really compare :/

    Installed on my NC10, loved it so much, I now have it on my desktop :D

     

    I'm surprised it's faster than Vista, lovely new features, took to the new task bar right away, love the fact theres just one icon for the program, and just highlight it to select which window you want to open. Alot cleaner.

     

    Windows 7 ftw!

    Beautiful Dirty Rich is not atrocious in the slighest, I'm sorry but it's just not.

     

    I find it annoying how as soon as someone mainstream looks to be doing something slilghty different, comments like "Oh, it's all so contrived" or "She's trying too hard to be different" are spat out. From watching interviews with her, and seeing her perform it looks perfectly natural to her. That is her style. Also, to be honest the whole "Pop Music Will Never Be Low Brow" thing? It's kind of refresing to hear someone mainstream finally say it. Constantly, I seem to be informed that my musical opinion isn't worth salt, because I listen to pop tarts and such.

     

    Digressing majorly, I read a few reviews that accused her of copying Gwen Stefani. I actually wanted to strange the reviewers. There's millions of crappy pop slags out their, that are never compared and yet once someone comes along that's both mainstream and a little "odd" - she HAS to be copying Gwen Stefani. *sighs*

    It'll drag everything over, but this is a beta and should not be used as your primary OS.

     

    Apparently Windows 7 is pretty damn snappy on Atom netbooks such as the Vaio P and MSI Wind. Awesome. As in, faster than XP.

     

    I have a Samsung NC10 which is an Atom netbook, think I should try this beta?

     

    If anyone can show me how to do a partition, could I install the beta on another partition just so I can switch between XP and 7?

    Though I don't have the album, she seems VERY overhyped. I mean, her lyrics are pretty awful, let's not lie to each other.

     

    Just Dance is the only genuinely good song I've heard. (Poker Face felt all mixed up, and Beautiful Dirty Rich sounded odd and bland)

     

    Better than what Aguilera is doing atm though.

     

    Tbh half the time I can't hear what she is saying, but just the sound is enough.

     

    I agree it's better than what Aguilera is trying to do (as of yet) but I'm sick of people comparing the two.

     

    Apparently, Goldfrapp and Ladytron are working with Aguilera on her new album :heh:

    I've just fell in love with Lady Gaga

     

    And just read how she got into the business aswell, wow I respect her so much.

     

    Someone who writes all their own lyrics, melodies, synths....wowowow lovelovelovelovelove

     

    Will be buying the album when its out here (in about a weeks time) i downloaded it a few days ago though as I couldent wait!

     

    It's an amazing album, I had pushed her aside before and was ignorent and chose not to listen to her music because of the press and such saying Aguilera was stealing Lady Gaga's look.

     

    Damnn, it's a shame she is just the support act for the pussycat dolls, was gunna buy tickets for it aswell a few months ago, pffft.

     

    Wonder if she will do a standalone tour?

    Cloverfield

     

    Watched it on Blu-Ray with my parents 50" HDTV and cinemas speakers thing.

     

    WOW. Took a while to get going but I was really engrossed and just wanted it to go on and on.

     

    Disappointed with the ending, wanted to know more....but yeah, was a great experience, just needed a little less of the beginning and a little more of the ending.
