I've never studied French but I'm fluent in Spanish and am currently studying it. I think that you can sort of get by in all of the Romance languages once you master one of them. Speaking more than one language is great for travel, in addition to being helping you in your professional life.

What a coincidence, I have to write a research paper on North Korea and its Nuclear Developments. Just today I checked out some books and I haven't really read into the subject yet, but from the very little I have read the media is very selective as to what to tell us about North Korea. For example, an internal CIA study referred to as Hunter acknowledged the achievemnts of this regime: "compassionate care for children in general and war orphans in particular, 'radical change' in the position of women; genuinely free housing, free health care, and preventive medicine; and infant mortality and life expectancy rates comparable to the most advanced countries until the recent famine." As to the nukes, I've yet to look into it but it's a widely accepted fact that they've one or two nuclear weapons among several other types of warfare.

It pisses me off when people ramble on about subjects they don't understand but are oblivious to the fact that they don't know much. People with bad breath are annoying, too. Don't know how it works over the pond, but I currently have my learner's permit which allows me to drive with an instructor or adult in the car. I had to pay $70 for driver's education to get the permit plus pass the written test, and I need to do 3 sessions of behind-the-wheel training which cost another $70 each. Bloody expensive, but in February when I just turn 16 I should have my license. Wohooo! Congrats, Roadkill. Ultimate freedom I bet.
