the revolution could help it's sales if zelda tp is marketed right and epecialy if it has enhancments or re-released for the console, whould also be awsome for a pack in game as long as it works with the revo controler. mario can defintly out sell zelda. mario 64 for example sold 11million copies worldwide where zelda oot sold thought 8.6million majora's mask at just 3million the later was released closer to the end of the n64 life.

i thought the factor 5 game was thornado and not tornado, how can nintendo put a trade mark on Tornado it's a common word unless it was translated wrong. Sadness sounds allright the more adult type games the beater i just hope all these smaller developers finds a publisher.
-
it whould be sweet, independ movement of both arms shoorting right or left or both. it whould be a perfect setup for devils may cry or max payne type games.
-
yeah the ds is limited to 2mb up 2mb down, that is more then enough for a 16player game.
however not that many people have a 2mb upstream link with there isp, adsl i think maxes out at just 1mb but you whould be lucky to even have that since most isp's focus on there downstream links.
-
yeah epecialy with voice chat i think a friends system is the only way to go unless the revolution has some sort of user profile thing built in where perants can set up accounts for every one in the family that turn voice chat and text chat off while there kids, friends ect are on those types of games.

looks like finaly fantasy cc for revolution is a launch title or very close to launch, the launch is getting beater by the day.
Youichi Wada, president of Square Enix, spread some positive comments for the company's upcoming Revolution title Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, saying the game will feature "magnificent graphics and an intense use of the revolutionary control of the platform."Wada says the Revolution game will have a deeper plot than its GameCube predecessor and feature online capabilities. Crystal Chronicles was the first third-party title announced for the Revolution and is expected to be a launch title. Wada says the game will be available in the U.S. by the end of the year.

nintendo have defintly said sd cards will be supported, you should be abble to backup your cards to your computer however games downloaded will be wrapped in drm and possible game saves as well which means they will only play on the console you downloaded it to.
-
nintendo doesn't host any game servers the players them self's host games, the only servers nintendo have are login and now possibly voip servers. If they do really good network code they should be abble to get arround 8-10 players with out any central servers setup.

both rpg and fps where the gamecubes weekneses at launch this time it will seem a diffrent story. what happened to the untitled midway project?

Fight Night Round 3 has nearly 2 MILLION polygons per character
i actualy dont belive that, i think you mean the charactors are made up of 2million polly gons, but when you apply normal mapping that is reduced considerably maybe to just over a few hundred k.

i didn't read it all but from what i read it seemed like it is ment to be a beater way of controling a camera, like in a 3rd person game. but im probley wrong.
-
is that the offical dock or a mock up ?
i really like using dock's. you really can not have a cable hanging of the revolution controler since it whould effect the movement.
-
i think that may have been taken out of context, i don't see the revolution controller having a touch screen it would just add to much to the cost and battery life, however the revolution control can already act like a finger just point at the menu item then slowly move it forward to simulate a press of a button.

wow. thats a good price for an sdk that whould help allot of the new developers get started.
-
personaly i whould love if retro started raven blade and thunder rally backup they absolutly looked awsome on the gamecube to bad they where canceled early in it's life.
n-space is working on a few revolution titles im hoping also that they create some first person shooter titles geist was a decent first attempt but im sure they could improve on it epecialy with the revo controler.
-
im sure it's just flash and flash is cheap only in small amounts, 1gig is nearly the cost of a laptop hard drive with a storage of 20+ gigs.
virtual games will probley max out at about 64megs, resident evil 2 64 being one of the only games to use a cart that big except for maybe some of the 64dd games.
-
i whould really like usb stick and external usb hard drive support, they basicly have much of the work done for sd cards anyway the only need usb and large disk drivers. but even if it's not the case sd cards are faily cheap. revolution i don't think is using blue tooth if anything it will be similer to the wave bird there is only support for 4 players as there is only 4 lights on the controler however like the wave bird there should be at least 16 channels im not sure if it selects these automaticly like bluetooth or theres a switch.
-
well if they include revolution controler support even if the controler just works and doesn't need the gamecube controler they could sell it as both a gamecube title and revolution title.
i have plently of games to last me till zelda comes out and the ds is getting a ton of new titles over the next few months.
-
revolution is the only console this generation with storage as standed in each and every unit. theres nothing stopping nintendo from releasing a hard drive in the future.
i actualy like the ds online features it's easy to use and it's extreamly easy to setup, however some problems need to be addressed.
1. needs uniq id and username for all games.
2. a loby with out the need for any game inserted, for chatting and arraging game matches.
3. needs to be easier to tell when friends are on and if they are you should be abble to message them in some way. in or out of game.
4. support for servers, the p2p method nintendo is using is great for small amounts of players. even if it works similer to gamespy or steam where they release server software which isp's ect can host.
-
people actualy pay £49.99 for games thats like $118(aud). i hope revolution games come with a more respectable price.
-
call of duty 2 whould be okay but a new version whould be much beater since i have allready playied 1 & 2 on the pc. im hoping they do create a first person shooter or third person type game and not enouther tony hawk for a launch title.
-
i have been offered tickets for press access a few years in a row now, the cost to get there however is the biggest problem ticket price is nothing compared to plain fair to get there from australia. but at least this year ill be given hours and hours of videos to watch so it's the next best thing.
-
im happy with just gamecube graphics but even that is over kill, i just want developers to spend as much time as they can on game play.
-
well you whould have to be a nut to say the revo control whould not be good for a first person shooter. i just wish e3 whould hurry up so we can see a few of the games that make use of it.
