  1. Official Wii Boxart Thread

I really think that Wii Point Cards is ugly. Why isn't it as stylish as all the rest of the designs in the Wii brand?
  2. Please Mr. Ancel, get Beyond Good & Evil 2 on the Wii! Exclusive, please. Because we Nintendo fans know good games when we see them. I played Beyond Good and Evil on the cube and it was great. It was great. So come on- we all want it. Not(1)? (1) = yes, we do.

Don't really get the 'lag' thing. Never hear of it. Anyone can help me out? (Got pretty good interesting, but perhaps a lack of dictionairy)
  4. I don’t need 5.1 in the Wii. What about you?

I couldn't care less for 5.1 sound. The only moment I actually noticed it was on during film, was when th dolby logo appeared and tested your speakers. But the general publich likes to look at the specs. When they're next to each other, the Wii's list is far shorter and will look less powerfull (wich, it is). Sadly enough, when I look at specs, I want the most if I buy a computer (well, if I buy my mac). HD and Dolby 5.1 would have being to lines closer to the PS3 and XBOX360's specs, just for the sake of having those two little letters...

That movie posted is thee wrong way of looking at it. Tony Hawk's downhill 1am requires you to put the controller in the 90° position - wich means it isn't pointing at the sensor bar. So, the Wii AND the PlayStation 3 controller actually use the same functions on this film - because when the Wiimote is not pointing, it has the same gyro sensor as the SIXAXIS. Bad one guys, 'cause it just doens't really show Nintendo's benefits on the subject. Anyway, the film is a good example of showing how they work when in the same position...

Okay this thing is like the meaning of life. No-one knows, uh. There is no central point to the galaxy because the big bang is actually just the sudden appearance of allot of energy in alot of places at the ssame moment. The name 'big bang' was chosen a little sadly because it cannot be seen as a bang, but just a silent, sudden appearance of energy. Buit hell, i'm still missing the point here:no-one knows. So why all the subject. oh, and by the way, SIXAXIS is a good marketing name - it doesn't neeed to represent anything. Wii sounds like wee, but it's still a great marketing name, although it doesn't mean what it says, now, does it? Now let's shut. the. fuck. up. No?

Okay, this si the explaination my science teacher gave to the fourth dimension. Image you're a cinemascreen-creature. The cinemascreencreature only sees in 2D. When you project a cube on the screen, it sees a square. So when we place it on a ball and it starts walking straight on, it will never, ever, realize it is actually coming over the same point every time again. Because he doesn't know shapes return to the same point if you follow a straight line. The creature will never understand this third dimension. We humans see three dimesnions, but place us in a fourth and we will never realize, because we're not capable of understanding. We did figure out that there are three dimension, but maybe the cinemascreen creature did the same for it's two dimesnions. But none of us can understand the next dimension. So, to be short: Give it up, 'cause we're not capable of finding, undertsanding or realizing this forth dimension.
  8. Official Wii Boxart Thread

I actually do like the wario ware boxart. I'm really having more trouble with the 'non'-exclusive fact, cause to be honest - and I think a lot of people could agree - I think that buyers like to watch where they can get the most and best exclusives. If you buy say, an Xbox 360, you can play FIFA on it, as well as Perfect Dark Zero. You know wich games are cross-platform, and you know wich aren't. With the Wii, you don't see this, and people might opt to go for the most exclusives. And as for 'exclusive control' - don't use that as the major reason for making every game 'exclusive' - porting it to a PS3 controller is - in fact - just as exclusive. A game is about a game, not hardware...

Has anyone noticed that none of the boxarts feature 'only for Wii' or 'exclusive to Wii' - Would it be because Nintendo 'has no competitors'?
  10. Wii Website Working?

I'm posting this to poll if the official European wii website (ms.nintendo-europe.com/wii/?l=enGB) works with you guys. I have to delete the /?l=enGB al the time (whatever country I select, like ?beNL) to make different pages work. If I don't, the only viewable page is the index page. Having the same problems anyone?
  11. Wii Website Working?

I'm not worrying about the american site (cause that one is working just fine), but it's the european microsite that just doesn't want to work. He always keeps the ?gbEN in front of a new address and that makes it unable to find the requested page. I am however using apple Safari to browse, but I doubt that would give any troubles... So check the european website (any of them, doens't matter) and use the top menu to check if it works... Thanks for the ok, though...
  12. Anyone else forgotten about Revolution?

The trouble is: you guys are speaking english on a daily basis. I'm from Belgium and right here it has no troubles - almost entire Europe wouldn't have any troubles except the english chaps. You know, Wii is a good, rock-solid name that will have people remembering it. It is (as Nintendo stated) a branch name in the ways of Yahoo! and eBay. Nintendo can do allot with Wii talking only about marketing, and to be honest: it didn't ring a bell when i first saw the name. Also, at first people had trouble using Yahoo! in a proper sentence. Now look at people use it. Everybody is using Windows in normal sentences nowadays, even though it just points to multiple glass objects used to watch through walls. You're all a bunch of complainers when you say Wii ain't good - it's perfect to market. Another example: Apple - we refer to apple as if it is normal, but we're speaking about an Greenish-reddish thingy growing on trees. Just wait and forget revolution. It was the coolest Codename (Dolphin sucked) and it will be the Broadway and Hollywood of the gaming industry. Wait. And. See.
