  1. It's a shame because I adored the 3DS version before Thursday. Now it seems lame and empty

That's how I felt on the 5th of October, there really isn't a lot to do in the 3DS game if you don't play online or have friends to play with. I'm going to try and complete all the challenges before the Wii U version comes out then I can probably sell my copy, doubt I'll ever play it once I have it on Wii U.

    Yet? :heh:

Would be amazed if that game got released in Europe.

Anyway, how's everyone doing with the challenges? I've got 6 left to complete, 1 on the 2nd panel (the StreetPass one* :indeed:) and 5 on the 3rd. Not used any golden hammers though.

*I swear, if I StreetPass one more person that has SSB as their recent software, but hasn't enabled StreetSmash, I'm going to go crazy! :shakehead

Getting increasingly tempted to set up a SP relay using my own Wi-Fi just to finally complete that "challenge".

I just used my golden hammer for the streetpass challenge because streetsmash is rubbish and I'm not wasting my streetpass slots for it.

I have 14 challenges left on page 3, mostly the ones that are play this mode with every character, gotta get more trophies and custom moves and equipment too

  3. Coin Battle is back too! (you can see it in the first shot on the left, next to the Stock and Time modes).

Nice to see it not get overlooked here, it's a really underrated mode :)

No mention of item frequency though... I hope it's not a case of parity with the 3DS game here...

Maybe we can expect to see Item Frequency DLC for only £2.99

  4. It's too late, I paid for it a month or two ago. Didn't get hit with import taxes last time but then they lied about its value. I won't be buying any new releases off them again.

Edit: I thought with it being a .ie domain it would ship from Ireland or UK possibly but Hong Kong? Madness! Do they ship games from Europe to Hong Kong and then back again to Europe? Or are they manufactured over there because on the back of the boxes it says "Assembled in Germany"?

I think that's what they do but they might have a few warehouses in Europe since when I ordered Super Mario 3D World from them it came in a few days with no import tax, it seems random whether or not you'll get something delivered quickly or all the way from HK. Also they are lying bastards, bought Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate off them and they said it was new but the VIP code in it was already used

  5. It could be a while before I receive it. I ordered the double pack from cdwow.ie and they're shipping from Hong Kong. Didn't know they did that. Last game took 2 weeks to arrive. Fingers crossed it won't be anything like that. I e-mailed them and they say it's a'pre-relese' offer and will only ship it out on release day.

oh god I remember pre ordering Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze off them (wow HD) had to wait 2 weeks for the game to come and I got stung with import tax... you'd probably be better off buying elsewhere.

  6. Why did I post that in the Smash Bros. thread?

    I'm not with it today.

I did wonder what that had to do with Smash Bros, were you hoping for his motorbike in the Wii U Smash? :p

    Wow!

I wonder if we'll see it return in the new Zelda.

I think it'd be really cool but I know a lot of people would be upset at the lack of a proper horse for Link so we probably won't be able to drive around the fields on it. At least we have this game to get our Master Cycle fill :D

  7. I already figured out about putting more power for putting after missing a lot of putts in my first few holes. Is there a difference between normal and super spin? In other games you need perfect timing for super spins which ignore wind but here it looks like they just roll further.

  8. Only one way to change that, bro!

Btw what's everyone playing on? XL or original? My mate showed me it on XL on Sat, it was...better than the brief demo on original felt, but still a bit hand-crampy-feeling, so still feeling a little unsure how much time I'll give the 3DS version if I get it(rocking original innit). Stupidly left it in the office today, but plan to finaly post off for repair tomorrow, once I know it's on the way back to me I'ma order a copy of the game!

I'm playing on an XL and haven't had any problems other than the very first day where I got a sore thumb on my right hand possible from playing too much. It helps that I have small hands I guess, I never had a problem with Kid Icarus Uprising either and I played that on the original 3DS :D
