I bloody-well knew I'd seen blue Wii-motes.. I def want a couple of those....

My thought is it will be a game completely centred around the remote. a 'look what the remote can do' sort of game that was probably a pretty obvious and easy/quick to create game. I would go with Pikmin, Luigi's Mansion or PilotWings. It prob won't be Mario Kart as I doubt that game has been decided on control-wise. They will prob want to gauge reaction to the different available control schemes before finalising a hallowed franchise such as MK.

I'm strangely excited by this MarioParty. I'll def get it in (haven't bought one since number 2 as they did go downhill) but this might re-vitalize it.

You could take other machines out of the race in GX. It was just the same as X.

You must be awful at games or something! I did that hot water first time. All you had to do was run forward!! In fact the whole game was a walk-through really.... Only a couple of places that I had to think a bit.

Fishing is really easy once you understand it. I hated it for a few hours then realised that all you had to do was watch for the faintest of 'tugs' on the line and then pull up the remote and hold it there till you pull the fish out. Pretty easy really just tricky as it wasn't well explained and was really near the start - a time when you wanted to get the game going not piss around fishing (twice!!)

R-TYPE: Fuckin Amazin!! Plays superbly and works in 16:9 widescreen. Music is a bit tinny but first level tune still catchy 9/10.

The problem with Monkey Ball is that it hasn't been improved in any way by the remote. It's pretty awkward at times to point your wrist down with the wii mote. It was much better with the stick especially for quickly turning back on yourself/stopping quickly at an edge etc. The mini games are too 'mini' to be too involving (i.e only one target on monkey target as opposed to the usual 3 reduces the game to novelty as its so easy) disappointing really. On topic I love the controller when used normally but hate using it on its side as it feels shit and doesn't work too well.. I really hope that MarioKart doesn't use that control scheme (like ExciteTruck). Name looks good as a logo but still don't think it sounds great...

You don't HAVE to use the official one as in US they have found one that works with Wii and only cost $15 (Kinamax NT-USB20 if you wanna search for it) It just has to have the right chipset/software in it. Just a case of finding a compatible one.

It states in the manual that you can pick up entries by holding down A+B and dragging them to a new slot/page... I tried this and it didn't work!! It seems we are stuck with the original order. You can, however, go back and add a Mii to an entry retrospectively.

I read somewhere (IGN I think) that when you do the Wii updates you get a new boot-up screen. I don't have this. My Wii just goes straight to the cack Health and Safety message. I presume this is the same for everyone... what happened to the boot up screen? Was it part of the bricked Wii problem and therefore was it removed again? Just curious if anyone knows.... quite strange that Wii doesn't have a nice little boot up sequence....

None of the launch games are online-enabled but by 2nd quarter of 2007 you will be able to play online games. I think Super Smash Bros is gonna be the first.

Yes! (to all of that) Check your address book - any name in bold is 'linked' with you (you have both entered each others Wii codes)and you can send mail and Mii's to them (from Mii plaza). Also you may get wandering Mii's in your Mii Parade from these people and your Mii's may wander off on their own too.

I got a Buffalo WBMR-G54 from Play.Com (Cheapo £50) and it works with everything really easily.

I think I had the most embarrassing remote-related incident, My mate spanked my arse with the remote whilst pitching in WiiBaseball ... well, he said it was an accident! Kinky Bastard...

Dunno if anyone else has noticed but when you're 'linked' with someone else their name goes bold in your address book. Easy way to see who's added you and who hasn't. Save address book space by deleting anyone who doesn't bold...
