Posted June 22, 2007 just watched both the shreks to prepare for shrek 3. Shrek 8/10 A great movie, a movie that pokes fun at itself and other fairy tales. I love the way that someone of any age can enjoy it and all for different reasons. Shrek 2 9.5/10 This is one of my favourite movies ever. The new characters are just as good as the older ones and there's more of characters like the mice and the pigs which was needed becasue their awesome. The scence at the dinner table with the parents, shrek, fiona and donkey is a complete classic. The ending is exciting and doesn't dissapoint, with the "I need a hero" song from jennifer saunders in the backgrounf and a gigantic gingerbread man destroying starbucks. The problem with Shrek is simply that the jokes date. For example the matrix slow motion Princess Fiona does in the first. Matrix jokes are no longer funny but it was at the time. Posted June 22, 2007 I saw 9 Songs. It was interesting, The sex in it actually aided the story (I felt so anyway) and it wasnt like some dodgy porn, except when she gave him a blow job that was just unessasery. Posted June 23, 2007 From Haggis's description, It really would not suprise me If he made up seeing that movie, in order to impress Oxigein waste and quickly looked up a synopsis on play.com. ROFL I could be wrong. And the last 2 nights, I've watched the Die Hard trilogy back to back in preperation for the new film. And my updated ratings are - Die Hard - One of the most important action movies ever made, influences just about everything you see - 10/10 Die Hard 2 - Underrated sequal, that is more character driven and has a more clever plot. I loved it - 9/10 Die Hard 3 - I underrated this, because I always remembered it as the one that relied on Samuel L Jackson and Jeremy Irons, but I was wrong. Very much back to the originals ethics, great choice to go to New York and a classy action film. The racial clashes are priceless. 9/10 1 Of The Best Trilogies Of All Time. In hollywood terms, I guess it is only really beaten by Lord Of The Rings and the original 3 Star Wars movies. what the hell? Will you please stop trying to insult me. Just becasue we disagree in opinions about things doesn't mean you should try and insult me in order to try and get a laugh out of people. Why would I lie about seeing a movie? Jesus christ man stop trying to bring me down to your level of humour, i.e insulting people because you think its funny. I liked rear window, so obviously because of my age (which you mention all the time) and the description I made it up and said I liked it just to impress some person I don't even know? And I jus heard the new trasformers flick, is executively produced by Speilberg. Good stuff right fine, but that was kind of all you needed to say. Sorry for the over-reaction and all but I'm just a little (well, more than a little) annoyed today over a personal reason. You hadn't heard it was produced by speilberg?! Interesting story about two escaped convicts who set out to kill one of their former wives before skipping the country. Nice little twist at the end as well. Posted June 23, 2007 Shrek The Third I found this to be the most entertaining of the three - although not so funny. It relied a lot more on the characters and comical situation than pop culture references and it didn't turn out to be 1.5 hours of Shrek is afraid to be a father. Music is good and I liked the story although there has to be more Puss-in-boots. 7/10 23 - Nichts ist so wie es scheint A brilliant hacker film. It really captures the atmosphere of a time when hacking was something completely new and hardly anyone knew about what could be done. The actors are playing their parts very convincingly and the clever dialogue does the rest. It's also interesting how the hackers become the very thing the tried to fight and eventually one of them goes mad. Brilliant. 9.5/10 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Posted June 24, 2007 The Seventh Continent Hanneke's first and it might well be his best. I sat in silence for around 10 minutes after the film finished, gobsmacked at what I'd seen. Haven't felt like that after a film in quite a long time. Absolutely haunting and unexpected ending for most of the film anyhow. The way Hanneke constantly cuts back to a blank screen and silence is simple, but fantastic. Not yet sure if it was better than "The Piano Teacher" but it was certainly a powerful and important piece of cinema. 9/10 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The ending was sheer brillance in film making. I could watch that movie over and over just for the ending. The idea of family and coming together in that movie was fanstastic, it really showed how even the most disfunctional family ever can come together when its needed. Posted June 24, 2007 Der Wixxer It's a film that makes fun of Edgar Wallace movies and Hitler - fill that with some stupid jokes like Mrs. Drycunt and it's ready for the big screen. While the first half hour is quite enjoyable it starts dragging on and the unqualified actors make it all the more worse. Posted June 24, 2007 Hot Fuzz. I quite enjoyed it but it wasn't as funny as I was expecting, having said that it made up for it by having an interesting enough story to watch. At times the totally surreal storyline was somehow made to seem plausible and there was never a part where I found myself bored with the film. I give an it 8 . Well, there are a lot of movies you might like that are "somewhat" related to Little Miss Sunshine, but this is the cream of the crop, the absolute best, so no, there isn't another flick out there that packs the same punch as Little Miss Sunshine, but you should go and see Vacation and Christmas Vacation if you're looking for a laugh. Other than that, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but there aren't many comedies out there that reach the magical blend of "lol+not so lol" that is Little Miss Sunshine. Try Garden State. They're very different, but it's more or less the same premise. :P Try watching Knocked Up. I think you'll love it. : peace: And you're wrong, I don't know that much about movies.
