That’s 2 random islands I’ve been to now and both have had my native fruit. It’s a conspiracy I tells ya!

I think that's all they dish out. I visited 4 yesterday and all of them had oranges.

@Glen-i you have a very unhealthy obsession with that Pokemon. :D

EDIT: Oh, it's like that. Take my ladder and then kick me out. :nono:

You shut up, it's a perfectly normal obsession.

I'll happily accept guests when I'm done with my stuff. Don't worry though, I'm not that cruel. You'll soon see.

I guess that would make it a bit easy to collect all the different types of fruit.

Thanks @Glen-i and @Hero-of-Time

One more question: If I visit someone's island can I find, for example, iron nuggets in a rock even though it has been smacked by the host already? Or are resources set for the island itself and not the player?

I need 15 more iron nuggets for the shop so... :p

I'm not sure. I'll open my island so you can visit and find out.

This is ultimate charm!!

Where do people plot their museums? Next to Nook services or out the way?

Did they ever carry on the rule from the very first Animal Crossing where to unlock the last tier of the shop you had to have visited someone else’s town and bought from their shop? I played all the other games (apart from City) but can’t remember.

I'm already getting annoyed with all the trees being far apart. I think it's time to eat some fruit and rearrange 'em all to create a forest :p

This game is just getting better all the time. Blathers is set up and I’ve donated enough to get his museum set up, I’ve got my pole vault and exploring the new sections. Also upgraded my tools (very much needed) and been enjoying this sooooo much.

No, that's not a thing anymore.

Didn't work for me when I visited Glen. This is why I imagine it's frustrating if you share your device with another.

As with all rock mashing peeps, anchor yourself by digging holes around you so you stay in place while whacking it with a shovel/axe, means you can get the full 8 items.

This is how I got enough iron yesterday, from the couple of islands I visited on a Nook ticket. One rock was lucky and gave 8 iron pieces.

One of the villagers I've recruited is Audie the fox, who seems quite cool, and apparently is the one named after the grandma who played AC a lot.

OK, all the materials I need to make the shop are donated. I'm gonna open my town if anyone here wants to join me.

Nice get. I read about that the other day. Very heartwarming story, if it indeed has been named after her.

I get having to use the ladder to climb up cliffs but I think they could have allowed you to just drop down again. Such a hassle having to switch tools. I guess it’s to incentivise the endgame terrain stuff even more.

Also, having to craft the crappy version of tools to then make the newer one made sense the first time but they really could have streamlined it after that.

Yeah, that's certainly something that has stood out to me the more i've played of the game. Little things like that could have really elevated the game even further.

Ok that’s the store being built and my new house upgrade paid for. Think that’ll do for the day.

I really need a second game to play along with Animal Crossing but there’s no point getting one before Persona 5 Royal and FFVII Remake come out.

I had Harvey visit my island this afternoon. I went and gave his island a visit but I don't i'll go back there any time soon. With it just being a photo/film studio I doubt i'll get much use out of it. His whole setup seems a little shady to me. Dude is probably filming some hippie porno movies in this studio. :p

I came across a gold nugget when visiting a random island. It sells for a decent amount of bells but I get the impression they'll be needed for crafting so i'm going to keep a hold of it for now.

I paid the 198,000 bells off for my house and have now got the next upgrade underway. Time to save up 400,000 bells!

Made some nice progress this morning.

My house was built, and while it's spacier (and much warmer!) than that tent, it's still a little on the empty side for now.

Blathers moved in. That guy cracks me up  love his fear of insects and the uncharacteristic hatred he aims at them. But he seems to not mind bees too much, at least. He's getting to work on his museum, so I'm having to keep the finds I have - a few rare insects and fossils - at home. Sure hope Nook doesn't find out we've got valuables hidden in here...

Upgraded my pocket space so that they now take up the full length of my jeans, which is surprisingly not that uncomfortable. Going to be a pain to dry after washing, though. Can now construct sturdier tools too, which is nice, and I've also upgraded to Pro Custom Designer. I'll probably toy around with that later.

Met Bangle on my first trip as part of the Mystery Island Tour those flightless dudes are offering. Those guys are old enough to be extinct, so there's something shady going on there; I mean, why do they keep burning these maps? What are they doing with these islands?!

Anyway, taking my tinfoil hat off, Bangle seems kind of annoying, but hey, I'll let her move in if it stops that thieving tanuki from bothering me - 20K bells already put towards paying off my house loan, and he still can't help but bring up my debt everytime I speak to him. For anyone wondering, Axel and Rocket are our other residents so far.

Oh, and Kyoshi is going through a serious stage of deforestation at the moment. We're getting ready for shops (just need some more iron, dangit!) and new movers. Nobody let Greenpeace know about our plans please.

Right, that's me done for now.

Like I've been saying, it'd be great if we could get 8 people together tonight at 7pm (UK time).

I'll host at that time, so I'd like it if a bunch of you join me.

@BowserBasher has already told me he's in. So 6 more spaces left.

I just got the game. I'm still doing the prologue. Was annoyed I can't set my tent at the little island in the middle! Guess I'll have to relocate later, but I'm slowly getting terraforming ideas. I'll go check the online later when I'm all set up.  Also, I have mangos on my island.
