Switch eShop Thread

Recommended Posts

I know of eshop-prices.com when I'm comparing eShop prices for different countries. Now I'm trying to find out if there is anything to save on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters' Pack vol 2 but I can't find a list of prices for DLC for each region. Anyone here know of one?

I always use dekudeals.com. It tracks eShop and physical prices and also DLC is listed. If I look up the Fighters Pack vol.2 for the UK there (you can select regions) it's discounted at ShopTo.

Alright, that's actually a decent price and discount. So I bought that. Thanks!

DARQ: Complete Edition descends upon the eShop

Now up on the main page. :D

A few recently released, or soon to be released titles, which stood out, for me.

A retro-styled FPS, an experimental RPG and a puzzling platformer of sorts. :)

Check the articles for the press releases and trailers.

Pocky & Rocky Reshrined shoots onto the Switch this Autumn

Pocky & Rocky is a great series, I reckon this new entry will do rather well.

Also, you can still get the GBA game on the Wii U Virtual Console, for just over £6...

It's almost a shame that more games from the series aren't on the Switch, they could put the SNES games on the app at least, indeed, that might happen now. :)

Wow, they finally did it: :hehe:

I'm going to take the credit for this one:

The fact Nintendo never discount their own games more than 33% is unbelievably stingy, especially for stuff that’s already several years old! They’re quite literally light years behind every other platform/digital store out there, it’s actually embarrassing at this point.

Even on the Mario 35th anniversary sale they stuck to their guns at 33%, an additional 2% was clearly out of the question!

Nintendo, feel free to use some of my other suggestions, yeah. ;)

I'm looking forward to Super Mario's 100th for a delicious 100% off :hehe:

Unfortunately, I'll be 100% dead by then..

That’s nice but what about those that have just recently renewed? We miss out for being loyal.

Yeah, that sucks. But that's always the risk of buying something - it might go on sale the next day...

I remember when I bought my Nintendo 64. 10 years old and had spent a year saving my money, 2000 Dkr. (equivalent to about £230 today - so quite a lot of money for a 10 year old). The week after buying it, it was discounted by 20 % permanently. That was a hard blow! I even called the store to ask about it but they didn't know at the time that it was going to be discounted.

This collection looks great. I've always wanted to play this version of Capcom vs SNK. It would be awesome if Vol. 2 arrived with the card battling game and the Neo Geo Pocket Sonic game.

I could swear half of those games were already on the eShop (including SNK vs Capcom). I'm not complaining though, much better to have them as part of a Collection.

Like H-o-T, I also want Card Fighters Clash more than any other game. The fact that this is called "Vol.1" gives me a lot of hope.

And if I'm allowed to dream even further, a re-release of Capcom vs SNK 2 would be godlike.

Fans of Donkey Kong Country (and by extension Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair) should apparently consider Kaze and the Wild Masks according to NintendoLife.

Out on March 26th.

I've had my eye on that for a while now. It looked amazing and those who have put out a review of it seem to have fell in love with the game. It's a multi platform release and so I'll probably get it for my PS4. The physical release for the game doesn't arrive until May though. :(

A couple of soon to be released titles/expansions which stood out, for me.

Rising Hell looks like a unique, vertical roguelike platformer, and IonFury is a great retro FPS, an expansion should be worth checking out. :)

According to random person on Reddit, the port of that game is pretty bad with performance issues and such.

Yeah, a few on Era also picked up the Switch version and say it's a mess. PS4/Xbox versions seem to be fine in comparison so if you have access to either of those and want the game then best pick it up on those platforms.

Hey! Do you like 2D platforming? If so, you might like this review!

 Horned Knight

N-Europe Review

You may have noticed a cheap game called Horned Knight on your local eShop, since about a month or so ago. You may have wondered if you can shovel through some dark ghouls, or even some hollow ghosts and/or goblins. If you did, boy did I write the review for you! Quick, read it while it's hot, or else you may, like, read it while cold, and that would be a shame.
