Magical Drop 3, Fatal Fury 3 and Sengoku Denshou 2 are the next incoming NeoGeo games! :D

Everyone! Buy the ever-living CRAP out of Magical Drop 3!!! That is an order!

Yep, I can vouch for this... Magical Drop 3 is an absolute god-tier Puzzle game, worthy of any Switch owners money. :D

It was already amazing on the Wii and this will be a far superior version of it, definitely a no-brainer purchase. :peace:

It's especially of value here because it includes both the US and Japanese versions here on Switch.  The Japanese version of MD3 has HUGE differences from the US version (The Magical Drop general Wiki details some of these differences), most notably, the adventure mode is almost entierly different and there is an additional difficulty option that was completely removed in the west!

I have the JPN and US VC versions and will gladly buy it again here on Switch! It's an absolutely top shelf puzzler and will be one of the absolute best local multiplayer experiences you'll be able to get for the Switch! It's a riot! Anyone who digs Puyo Puyo Tetris in local multiplayer owes it to themselves to nab MD3 as soon as it's available! Even if you already own the English version elsewhere! :D

Picked up Enter the Gungeon, Overcooked and Wolverblade (thanks to @S.C.G's glowing review) in the sales. Spent 2,200 rubles on the lot, which is roughly £27. A lot of game for not a lot of buck. Got myself a Pokken controller on the cheap as well today so looking forward to some more indie 2D goodness over the weekend!

Anyone picking up Pay Day 2?  It looks intriguing enough for me, but as a retail card, seen it for 33 quid in some shops.

I think Hogge is a big fan of the series so he's probably the best person to ask about it. Weird that it's £45 on the eshop, you can get the physical version for £39.99 from Nintendo's official store.

After the physical edition of Owlboy was announced i'm planning to hold fire on getting it until that comes out so I think I might pick up Golf Story this week, i've cleared most of my Switch eShop backlog only have Oxenfree to play so will likely spend some more money soon. My watch list is pretty out of hand though, 44 games already, it would cost me an absolute fortune to buy all of them.

Is this just a very roundabout way of saying there is a double pack for £35?

No, it's just a very roundabout way of saying there is a double pack for £50.

The discount only applies to the second game you buy.

So a roundabout and confusing way then. I thought it was a very good deal.

What else would you expect from a WiiU port? Confusing is that console's middle name!

I didn't want to buy anymore games before the My Nintendo changes, but I made an exception for Lone wolf. It seemed right up my alley.. And technically it is. If it weren't so fucking hard that is. Geez. Basically it's a really oldskool text RPG (yes, you read a lot), with lots of choices depending on your character build. Monster battles are actually done in a 3D engine using a semi-active turnbased battle system. I die plenty, and I only just made it to mid-game (as far as I know).

I haven't played much the last 2 weeks, so I haven't made much progress in Dandara and Night in the woods. I've continues Dandara yesterday again, and I finally got a bit further than where I got when playing the beta. I love it personally, but this game's also pretty hard. Sometimes it feels fair, other times it doesn't. The unusual movement system takes some getting used to, and even when you do, mastering it it's a whole different level. I'll do a full review when I've finished it.

I picked up Dandara myself (albeit on the PS4) and I'm really intrigued to see more of it. I've played a short 30 minute session and even though it was a bit overwhelming getting used to the movement, it started to click towards the end of my go and I thought it all worked extremely well so really interested to get back in and see more of it and how they mix things up. Picked it up as something to itch that itch left after finishing Celeste and because the Brazilian folklore angle interested me and looks as though it's a solid little title so far.

It's vying for my time amongst a swathe of other indie games tho, both on the Switch and elsewhere. Got The Fall Part 2: Unbound to start as well as needing to put more time into Golf Story, Wulverblade and Blaster Master Zero. There's also Fe, Crossing Souls and A Hat in Time that I'm playing elsewhere too.

It's a really great time to play indie games at the moment, so much food stuff out there and the last couple of years have been incredible. It's a game type thats completely stolen my time away from bigger games but there's so many interesting games out there on all platforms.

I finished Owlboy. To be honest, my expectations were high due to all the reviews but I was left wanting more. Had some pretty cheap gameplay such as getting hit as soon as you enter a room. Some slightly fiddly controls along with numerous crashes and one boss battle that must’ve dropped to 5fps brought the game down a few notches for me.

However, the worst offender had to be the lack of any kind of world map which made navigation more difficult than it needed to be. Seeing as there was dialogue from an NPC early on about Owls being cartographers, this was especially galling.

Put about an hour and a half into Owlboy last night, really enjoying it. The pixel art is stunning, I can see why it took them so long to develop. Gameplay is fun. I like the twin stick shooter mechanic

Picked up Pac-man (and Slime-San in the sale) and it's amazing! Surprisingly brilliant. I have the original on Apple TV and never played it. Also, handled play is perfect, some serious rumble!

Got 10 Second Run Returns earlier. It's a nice little time trial platformer and ideal for the very short Switch 30 second video capture.

Magical Drop 3 has video capture support! Hamster are now seemingly adding video capture support in their ACA releases!

Fake Edit: And they also seem to be going back and adding support for it in their past release now too; because Metal Slug 3 just got an update to add video capture support!

Ah, I was going to ask about that.  Metal Slug 3 is now 1.0.2. and I wondered what that was about.

PS - I bought Magical Drop 2 because of you.  And @S.C.G's review.

Lol! I broke the eShop!

I went to remove my card details, an error occurred and it seems to have brought down the entire server in all regions!

Nah, they’re just adding VC with a full GC, Wii, Wii U and 3DS library, no biggie!
