How's that low-hanging fruit? Is it hip and tasty? Well, what about "Magnet evolves into three magnets"? Oh, or the super imaginative "Mole evolves into three moles"? The biggest crime about that is that they're both in the same generation! Seriously though, look at the picture above it, is it eating that Pikachu? Because that's terrifying! EDIT: Also the evil team is apparently called Team Skull. Wait, they're bringing back these guys? Maybe it's my artist's bias (It probably is) and it is a very low quality picture, but I kinda prefer my Marowak design over the official one. Don't get me wrong, Ghost type is very clever (I'm guessing it'll be Ghost/Fire, otherwise it being with that fire-type specialist makes little sense), but what kind of fire dancer doesn't use at least two fiery sticks? And they also played it very conservatively with the skull, it's a bit boring. EDIT: Actually, the more I look at it, the more I'm convinced that apart from the fire, Marowak's a straight up palette swap. Lame... It's not a good sign when I can come up with something more interesting. I'll be waiting for my contract, Game Freak. DOUBLE EDIT: Wait, hang on. Is it skinnier? I can't tell now... I should probably stop looking at this. And my fear of it just being Gen 1 Pokemon getting Alolan forms seems to be coming true. Audible Sigh... Posted August 9, 2016 Every generation has its bad designs, Gen VII is no exception. To be honest I can't see them going away from making Pokemon out of inanimate objects considering they already have done an ice cream, rubbish and a keychain. But then again, not all Pokemon were based on animals and humanoids in the first Gen, Grimer and Muk are essentially toxic sludge which as far as I'm aware isn't an animal. Posted August 10, 2016 So, I am super super pumped about this game, but a lot of the designs are a bit ropey. Like, too many of the designs are a bit ropey. The best ones so far, are largely the Alola ones. Why can't they do more designs that looked super sick like the first three gens, mostly I loved all of them. Like. The nostalgia is strong with this one. 2 of those Alolan Forms are Palette Swaps, so I'm not sure I can agree with that. And in what universe are the likes of Krookodile, Hydreigon and Greninja not "Super Sick"? I've already got more than 6 new Pokemon I would like to use for my playthrough, and none of them are Alolan forms. So it already beats Gen 6 in regards to design. Posted August 10, 2016 If the rumoured dolphin Pokemon is in the game, I'm definitely using one on my team. Otherwise my team is looking like it will be Rowlet, Rockruff, Salandit and Bewear, with either Mimmikyu or an alternate Psychic or Fairy type (not too big a fan of many of the Fairy types revealed so far aside from Tapu Koko and Mimmikyu). Then again, if Rockruff's Evo is a Werewolf, it could potentially learn the move Play Rough because that would fit in well with a Werewolf. Added to that adding Crunch, Rock Slide/Stone Edge and maybe even Earthquake (most Rock Pokemon can learn Ground type moves and since its a dog the least it will likely get the move Dig) and you have a Pokemon with potentially a lot of type coverage on its own. That's presuming it will be a physical attacker, I would be surprised if they made a Werewolf a Special attacker. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Posted August 11, 2016 Alolan Raichu is gonna be amazing with Tapu Koko. 50% extra damage, double base speed and can't be put to sleep. Do the rain condition work with the electric terrain?
