Posted May 11, 2015 A lot of people saying Mario Strikers but I think if there's to be a sports game I'd like for it to be Matio Golf. Though having that awful Wii Sports U Golf might hamper this wish. Oh yeah and the 3DS version is there. Might actually help, SM3DL didn't stop SM3DW from happening. And it's the sports franchise that hasn't been on Wii anything. It would lend itself well to DLC too. I don't like Mario Strikers, I own and played them but I prefer the real game aka PES. Posted May 11, 2015 I did say they "didn't engage in the same way as others", not "they didn't engage". Smash Bros, treehouse and media stuff is all great, but it's not the swag that I was speaking about. What swag did they give away? From what I remember reading things like soft toys, Mario Kart and Smash Bros keyrings, a couple of years ago they were giving away Cat Mario ears.... Posted May 12, 2015 (edited) This is what makes that series so great. Next Level Games has given less notable characters such as Waluigi and Daisy, but also the side characters Koopa Troopa, Shy Guy, Boo, Monty Mole etc.. lots of personality I also enjoy the overall gritty yet cartoonish artstyle: Man, I played the fuck out of this game back in the day, because it was the first game I was able to play online with my Wii. I could do with a new one, but then again, I could also do with a new F-Zero or Advance Wars. I really hope Next Level Games bring us another project out of left field like Punch-Out!! Wii. Would love to see GC on VC and a lot more N64 games. Splatoon, Mario Maker, Xenoblade, Star Fox - none of it appeals?! I'd be happy with Punch Out, love the series. As soon as I saw the cel-shaded intro to Smash i thought it was a perfect style for a 3DS game. But surely NLG don't need that long to knock one out... Still expecting Animal Crossing to be the big game this year, and I'm expecting this year to be pretty disappointing in general, but hopefully we'll see a trailer of a big game, even if it's for next year. Posted May 12, 2015 I love Punch Out! to death but think it's still a bit early for another instalment. It's far from a system seller and I'm afraid they'll try to incorporate something innovative into the gameplay. I see Punch Out! as an old school franchise and that's what I like about it. That retro arcade style feeling made the latest instalment so great for me. I can see Nintendo trying to combine Giant Robot with this, or use the gamepad gyro sensors.
