Posted January 28, 2014 Neogaf user "CBOAT" (crazy buttocks on a train) recently posted a thread highlighting a confidential PowerPoint presentation from Valve showing off the company's next-gen Source 2 engine using an updated Left 4 Dead 2 prototype. I don't think you can play games on two completely different engines, even if one is an upgrade of the other. Posted January 29, 2014 In before "Half-Life 3 confirmed...." Seriously though, if the sources (no pun intended) are as reliable as these leakers claim, then this is very exciting news indeed. Plus the word is that the presentation actually dates back to 2011, so the engine could have easily been improved dramatically by now! It'd explain what they've been doing this whole time, besides the Steam Machine/SteamOS/controller thing. Posted January 29, 2014 It pretty much is Left 4 Dead 3, but the common joke is "HL3 confirmed" when it comes to anything Valve related. It's getting a bit old now.
