Posted August 24, 2013 (edited) So it's coming up to that time again where some of us strapping young gamers suit up and ravage our body and soul. Why you ask? Well FOR THE KIDS of course. This year the goal is a 25 hour marathon, which is like almost 2 days or something. Here are some highlights* from previous years to whet your charity apetites: We're looking at beefing up our live stream this year, so has anyone got any suggestions for stuff they'd like to see this year? So far we've been thinking along the lines of fighting game tournaments, Cards Against Humanity and a few other things. Stuff that involves talking, thus allowing our rugged personalities to inspire you to give over money. It's a little early, but here is our donation page *Dramatization. Anyway I'll be going solo again here in Canada so would really appreciate the support I'm five hours behind the UK so if anyone wakes up earlyish on Sunday AM thinking its all over it won't be your views and participation will very much be appreciated to keep me sane. Last time I ended up sat on the floor feeling really ill and lonely playing Last Swan! I should point out my alone play is kind of self inflicted....we are still living with the inlaws and don't feel comfortable taking over their house with people (namely girlfriends friends boyfriends) even though there is room. Tried out some hotels during the summer but the cost plus internet issues make this not really an option. Next year will be very different when we are in our own place. I'm planning a few "events", going to have an education hour, some backlog clearing, some old school point and click adventures (simon the sorceror, flight of the amazon queen and beneath a steel sky), retro time plus watch me play and fail at Dark Souls for the first time knowing nothing going in! Posted October 15, 2013 (edited) A bit of a cheeky favour, but could the people looking to donate this year do so as soon as possible? The sooner we get off the £0 mark, the easier it is for us to get other people to take us seriously. It can be quite difficult to persuade people that this is a genuine charity event and not just a bunch of nerds playing games with the flimsy excuse of it being for charity (which it totally is, but THE KIDS).
