Wow and I thought Dazzy was delusional.

Sorry with that sort of claim you're going to have to prove it.

Where does it show about the penalties and red cards he has received? Stats aren't everything. Nice to see you recognise how good Cahill and Terry are though :)

It would be daft not to compare to the PFA centre backs of the year... And Terry.

Koscielny in four seasons has conceded 6 penalties and received 4 red cards. Surprisingly in that time Cahill and Terry haven't received a single red between them and Kompany has 3.

I'm not saying he isn't up there on the list, but one of the best? Bit too much biased thinking for me. I'd choose Mertesacker over him.

What about goal threat stats? I don't think he'll be leading that one either.

From 16 points off the top last season to 7 this season and 6 more points on the board than last season, still 4th but it's certainly progress. Get the right striker, Defensive Midfielder and a worthy successor to Sagna at Right Back and I'll look forward to next season.

Liverpool 2-1 up now, but this gif says it all.

I noticed us slipping around the pitch today, especially Suarez, we were watering the pitch at half time too and Suarez was sliding all over the place. Maybe we're over-greasing our pitch.

Congrats to City, better a gent like Pellegrini win the league than Mourinho.

As much as it hurts to admit it, City deserve to win the league, so well done to them. It hurts knowing that your team is so behind the competition. We weren't great again today against Southampton and the one moment of quality on our behalf was the Mata freekick. I'm so happy that this season is over and hopeful for the next one. We need to start again.

Well done to Liverpool for finishing second. Although it's a disappointment to not win the league, getting second above Chelsea, Arsenal, United and Spurs is a big achievement.

I rest my case.

Regardless of those stats, I can't consider Koscielny better than any of the others because when it's come to the big games he's not performed and Arsenal have shipped a lot of goals whereas the others simply haven't. They're precisely the games you want them to perform in too!

City are deserved winners of the title, they've just the right balance of attack and defence throughout their play. Can't argue against them deserving it.

Okay genuinely surprised at that stat. Though Kompany is now on 8 too :p

Hats off to city, most consistent team won! Hated seeing Nasri win though. Not even sure why I dislike him so much.

England World Cup squad:

Goalkeepers

Joe Hart (Manchester City)

Ben Foster (West Bromwich Albion)

Fraser Forster (Celtic)

Defenders

Leighton Baines (Everton)

Gary Cahill (Chelsea)

Phil Jagielka (Everton)

Glen Johnson (Liverpool)

Phil Jones (Man Utd)

Luke Shaw (Southampton)

Chris Smalling (Man Utd)

Midfielders

Steven Gerrard (Liverpool) - captain

Ross Barkley (Everton)

Jordan Henderson (Liverpool)

Adam Lallana (Southampton)

Frank Lampard (Chelsea)

James Milner (Manchester City)

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal)

Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)

Jack Wilshere (Arsenal)

Forwards

Rickie Lambert (Southampton)

Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)

Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool)

Danny Welbeck (Manchester United)

If anyone is wanting to brag about how many players come from their club:

Liverpool - 5

Man Utd - 4

Arsenal - 2

Southampton - 3

Everton - 3

Chelsea - 2

Man City - 2

West Brom - 1

Celtic - 1

I'm very pleased to see Celtic's Fraser Forster making the squad. He's a top quality keeper and really deserves his place. Old Firm players often get overlooked by England. Alan Thompson was by far the best English winger for a number of years and didn't even get a look in.

Looks reasonable. The hype train is taking on water and coal and is preparing to depart from the station.

Great to see three Southampton players in the squad, might have been 4 if Jay Rodriguez wasn't injured.

I do think Gibbs should be in the squad over Shaw though. Both him and Baines have no real top level experience, which either Gibbs or Cole would have provided. It's criminal that Gibbs isn't even on the reserve list. Jon Flanagan and John Stones? Seriously Roy?
