Wii U VC

Oh, we also get New Style Boutique

... :blank:

Looks like I'll be embracing my fabulous fashion side for that review then. ;)

Oh well, at least it's another Nintendo DS title for the Virtual Console. : peace:

Wait... is this the actual original DS title or the 3DS release?

Meanwhile, America gets Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky.

Naturally, I'm more than a little miffed. Here's hoping it's a sign of next week.

That game is brilliant, and I would happily double dip.

Yeah but we have the three Ranger games.

Ehhhh... They might as well just be one game. Ranger is no substitute, not for me anyway.

Anyway, no point whining yet, it might come out next week.

Absolutely nothing on 3DS or Wii U this week

Which means Mother 3 for real this time, right? Right? Maybe they just forgot before.

It is a crying shame that the VC version of Mario Party DS doesn't support multiplayer. It's definitely one of the best in the series. You know, provided you've got mates. It even supported single-card multiplayer, with no limitations (Other than loading screens so those without the game can play).

As for Mario Party 2... I always preferred 3, but it's better than 1.

Oh @Dcubed... ;)

TurboGrafx-16 games are about to be released today on the Wii U Virtual Console in America!

In this case the first two titles are R-Type and New Adventure Island...

So that's only nearly 10 years since they were released on the original Wii VC. :indeed:

Better late than never, I guess this means that they are here to stay rather than being just a previous generation one-off. :D

Hoping this means we'll get the TurboGrafx Ys games sometime soon.

Wait wha!?!?

NOW? Of all times! Why now? Why so incredibly late!?

Dare I dream of NeoGeo and MSX following?

It's so bloody late though! They'll never get a decent number of them on Wii U at this rate!! Come on Shibata!!! Step on the gas!!

So have NOE given up or something? Nothing for Wii U or 3DS at all this week...

Meanwhile America starts getting TG16 games on Wii U...

Sigh :(

Wii VC/download/whatever you want to call it has something this week.

A Shadow’s Tale (Hudson Soft, Wii download) - €19.99/£17.99

Journey into a unique world of light and dark, in the ground-breaking action adventure A Shadow’s Tale. You are a shadow, separated from your body imprisoned at the top of a mysterious tower. Every shadow becomes a surface you can touch, leading to an original gameplay experience. In your two-dimensional form, summon the help of a fairy to interact with the physical world; moving objects to cast shadows to use as walkways, and watch out for enemies along the way – because even shadows can be hurt!

Wii VC has something this week.

While I welcome the availability of A Shadow's Tale because it seems to be a rare Wii game which had a limited physical print run, it's still not a VC title being that the Wii U is merely running it natively in Wii mode with no additional features.

It would have been nice just to have those TurboGrafx-16 titles which America got last week just to show that there's still plenty more titles yet to be released or indeed re-released. ::shrug:

I think this is part of the problem, Nintendo needs to standardise their releases and clarify exactly what they are on the NX, I think they seem keen to try and lump the Wii re-releases in with the VC purely because there's just not that much being released. :D

I knew someone would nitpick this point, which is why I altered my post.

If people are going to take issue with stuff like this then I guess we should start posting the Wii downloadable games in the eShop section, something which I tried when Resident Evil 4 Wii download came out but was largely ignored due to people discussing it in here.
