Dcubed
There's a message on the Wii U eShop that says that Nintendo have brokered a deal with the German USK ratings body. The 23:00-03:00 time restriction for 18 rated content has been lifted. 18 rated content can now be accessed at any time of the day! I tried it, it works. You can browse the Ninja Gaiden and ZombiU pages right now! Thank God they fixed it!
Londragon
This message is also available to be seen on the 3DS eShop, I will try out the 18+ content and get back to you. Yep, all the 18+ content is working on the 3DS eShop aswell, time to rejoice. Edited March 21, 2013 by londragon

Agent Gibbs
Wow, I had been convinced that there was literally nothing Nintendo could do about this. I know, what with it being a German law that related to film/tv media distribution and not digital games media per say, but still law so obviously being in Germany there was nothing really they could do bar moving, and they wouldn't do that, so were should all have prepared for the worst.... whoever perpetuated that should eat some humble pie:heh:

Mokong
Maybe I should have made a new thread instead of posting it in both Wii U eShop and 3DS eShop threads Here's the full message which explains that they were waiting for the USK, the German Entertainment Software Self-Regulation Body to finish their analysis of the Parental Controls...the reason it took so long was cause the USK took so long to get back to them. The restriction was prolly just Nintendo being overly cautious to avoid any possible fines while they waited for the USK to get back them http://www.n-europe.com/news/nintendo-lifts-eshop-restrictions-on-content-rated-18 "Dear Customer. Nintendo has lifted the access restrictions to content rated 18+. Adults can now browse and buy all games at any time of the day. Following analysis of the Parental Controls system on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS in cooperation with USK, the German Entertainment Software Self-Regulation Body, it was deemed that Nintendo's Partental Control system is of very high quality and offers a remarkable level of protection for children. Nintendo's Parental Control system was found to have proved itself in practice. Nintendo always encourages parents to make use of Parental Controls to control access to content they deem inappropriate for their children. They only needed to say, "We're on the case, but the USK are so slow...blah, blah...". This would have alleviated many a sleepless night for those so inclined.
