Kirby Athletic should be mentioned first as their early season run was remarkable, heading into the double as the league leaders was a superb achievement for a promoted club. However the award has to go to the Elites, after losing their 2nd game to the Sons they went the rest of the season unbeaten and defeated Haden, Bru, Rovers then Sons for a glorious title winning run in.

The usual suspects Bru and Rovers are here but Silverdale grab this award. While they just about went down they had some great games that show they will surely be back next season. Beating Bru with a combined 7 goals in the double was the highlight but 4 goals against Happenstance and 3 against Rovers and Haden United meant they were a team the neutral loved.

A good mix of players from all camps this season in this award. However Kirbys side had some real star performers. Kirby Jr, Saeys and the youth Brailey all from midfield helped drive an industrious team that netted 31 goals in their campaign.

Essex Elites:

Entering in Season 8 you knew they were a club destined for great things when they were promoted immediately from the middle league in their first season. After several impressive seasons they won the top league in Season 13 before being relegated the season after! They are a team that has always enjoyed dueling with Bayern Bru. They then won the Middle League came 5th in the top season after and this season they won the top league title again. While they don't seem to care for the youth they herald a superbly powerful team that have to be considered title favorites again.

Odds for Title: 2/1, Have a squad that is so strong that even youths playing are hardly a weakness, could be on for a double.

 

Battlestar Odwinica:

A team that was born after the managers previous side who won the top league title 5 seasons in a row were considered to be to powerful for our league! So he decided to make a new side and in Season 10 it they burst onto the scene winning the lower league in their debut season. They were immediately promoted to the top league the season after but were relegated the following season. They went back up in Season 14 and have stayed in the top league since, the last two years they have finished 2nd in the league. A team that is very hard to play against and has the best youth development of any team bar none they are title winners waiting to happen.

Odds for Title: 3/1, have tactical prowess and a very strong squad however their constant youth development may cost them the title.

 

Mcoys Sons:

A club that joined in Season 9 and has since became a very respected member of the league. Was promoted to the middle league 2 seasons after their debut but got relegated straight away. However came back by winning the bottom league then got promoted to the top league in season 13. They have enjoyed 4 seasons in the top league and last season came 3rd. The richest team in the league all they need to win their first top league title is a bit more consistency.

Haden United:

A team that has been around since season 1, they won the lower league in season 2 and have been in the top league ever since. They have come 2nd twice and won the league 3 times most recently in season 15. A team that enjoys developing youth as well as releasing provocative Prs. Having enjoyed a middling season last time around will want to strike back this season.

Odds for Title: 3/1, had real problems scoring last season but their attacking line up looks good to go this time around, will be tough but they should be up their.

 

Roostophe Rovers:

An original team that has been in the league since its inception, apart from two seasons in the lower league which they won in season 5 they have been in the top league for every other season. They won the top league in season 10 and 12 but recently have been a team that has been slightly inconsistent. Has an older squad but one that is devastating on their day, if they find their form will be the team to watch.

Edd Kirby Athletic:

Briefly managed by Dan_Dare soon in their first season they were taken over by Eddsta, they were promoted in their first season to the middle league but became somewhat of a yo yo side switching between the lower and middle league 4 times. During this period in season 13 they won the lower league, however their finest hour has to be this season. After gaining promotion to the top league last season, this season they led the top league for a large period of time and finished a very respectable 6th place, the only promoted side to stay up. They have a good mix of players but are still in the building stage, another season in the top league maybe having a crack at the top 3 would be a good target.

Odds for Title: 7/1, turned out to be a surprise league leader last year, however teams will surely play strong sides against Kirby this time around, a dark horse for the title.

 

Dysonian Wanderers:

Another season 1 veteran, Wanderers are a high intensity team that share a lot in common with their main rivals Rovers. An Older quality Squad (although this has changed recently with more youth) playing attacking football. They have been in the top league every season apart from their opening one and when they were relegated in season 6 and 11. They won the Middle League title in season 7 and 12 to get straight back up and won the top league title in season 14 and 16. An ambitious club that will want to reestablish themselves in the top 3 after a poor season last time around.

Odds for Title: 5/1, a strong side but one that could be accused of lacking depth and may struggle if hit with suspensions or an injury crisis, will be looking for top 3 though.

Madpool:

Joined the league in season 8 and was first promoted to the top league in season 10. Was relegated but bounced straight back and enjoyed 4 seasons in the top league the highlight of that being a 2nd place finish in season 15. Relegated last season but won the middle league in style this season and will be up to the top division again. Have a side that is very strong apart from in attack where they lack firepower. However tends to win games via possession and good defense lessening this problem.

Odds for Title: 7/1, nearly won the league in season 15 and have done very well in the middle league, their lack of scoring power is a concern though.

 

Intergalatigo Stars:

The Stars have been a huge success story, entering in season 15 they won the lower league the following season and this season came 2nd in the middle league earning promotion to the top league in 3 seasons! Have a rather large squad that is still developing but is decent in every area of the pitch. Will be a tough season for them but one they should enjoy for the experience.

Odds for Title: 30/1, would be incredible if they got to the top 3 never mind the title! Will be an aim to stay up and develop have already done great getting this far.

 

Eights United:

Joined the league in Season 11 and was a bit of a yo yo club switching between he middle and bottom league 3 times before this season achieving promotion to the top league for the first time in the clubs history. Have a reasonably spread out squad age wise that isn't the biggest in the world, decent in all areas except for goalies. May find the top league tricky in their first season but a great success to make it this far.

Odds for Title: 38/1, should just try and get some upsets here and there and try and stay up in their first season in the top league.

 

 

 

Happenstance FC:

Happenstance have been in the league since season one and where in fact the first ever Xpert 11 champions a fact the manager likes to reinforce at any opportunity! After 9 seasons in the top leagues they were relegated to the middle division in season 9. The following seasons saw a brief return to the top league before plummeting to relegation from both the top and middle league. Season 15 and 16 saw them win the lower and middle leagues respectively to make a triumphant return back to the top league. Last season they struggled to keep up in the top league and were relegated at the foot of the table. However they have a side that should be able to fend for itself in the middle league and has several good youth prospects, will be interesting to see whats next for the first ever Xpert Champ.

Odds for Title: 4/1 Has succeeded in this division before but will the team be able to pick themselves up from their failure in the top league?

 

Bayern Bru:

Bru have gone under many names, Moria United, Ankh Morpork, Secret United and finally Bayern Bru, they have also had two managers. Moria from 2007-08-29 to 2008-05-20 then Ankh Morpork from 2008-05-20 to 2009-03-09. Another team that has been with the league since Season 1 they did well in their first seasons and won the league in season 3. When Ankh Morpork took over the team was primed for success but under his reign they were relegated. When Moria came back he worked had and won the middle division in Season 9. They have been a constant fixture of the top league for 7 seasons coming 2nd three times. However this season they got relegated finishing 9th, many would expect them to bounce straight back up to the top they have a very strong squad in many aspects and their youth benefiting from time in the middle division.

Odds for Title: 2/1 Bookies joint favorite they are a natural top division side, the only thing that may hold them back is overplaying youth.

 

Recall United:

This will be Recall Uniteds 10th season since joining in Season 8. Their opening seasons were tough as they found themselves immediately relegated to the lower division. They were promoted up to the Middle League in Season 11 but then went down the following season. However season 14 marked a turning point for this team, they won the lower league and have been a Middle League team ever since. They finished 5th this season and look to have found their comfort zone for the time being in the Middle League. Their team is rather large with 20 players and could do with a few more youths but they should be able to fend for themselves in this league.

Odds for Title: 8/1 Have dark horse written all over them, they have won a league before but you feel that promotion rather than winning the title would be a great season for them.

 

Rising Phoenix:

One of the more controversial and certainly confrontational sides has been Rising Phoenix. They joined in Season 14 and ruffled a few feathers with their personal attacks in Press Releases however their football also did the talking. They only spent two seasons in the lower league as they came 3rd in Season 15. They have come a respectable 5th and 4th in their two seasons in the Middle League and were very close to being promoted this season. Their team is rather youthful but is also a tough one to play against. Will be interesting to see where they end up and who they feud with next season!

Odds for Title: 7/1 Will be hard for them to compete with some of the relegated sides and may be content to stay in the Middle League for another season, if they push themselves could gain promotion.

 

Silverdale Hotpot:

Silverdale joined Xpert in Season 9 and immediately won the admiration of his peers as he took the lower league title and got promoted. In his 5th middle league season he won the title and went up to the top league. Since then he has become somewhat of a yo yo side, he was relegated straight away went up the next season and this season has been relegated again. However he was painfully close to staying up and a return to the top league is surely easily within this teams reach. A well balanced side that has matured in recent years to become a challenge to any team.

 

Fave Opponent: Noodle Esporte Clube

Odds for Title: 2/1 joint favorite, odds are pointing to a clash between Silverdale and Bru for the title, Silverdales squad could be reaching a vintage year, this along with their previous title wins at lower levels could get them that title.

 

The Sixty Fourthers:

The 64s have built up quite a following since their season 2 debut and are a well liked club by most managers. They were immediately promoted in season 2 and spent the next 11 seasons in the top league finishing 2nd 3 times. They gained promotion to the top league again in season 15 but finished in last place the following season. A mediocre 6th place this season covers the fact that this club is one of the most valuable and powerful in all 3 leagues. The manager is well known for a love of youth development, this has earned him some criticism as he has yet to deliver a title for his fans. However it has also made sure the past, present and future of the 64s has been full of talented players.

Odds for Title: 3/1 Be careful with the 64s, in some ways he should be the favorite but he has 20 in his squad and loves to develop youth sometimes sacrificing a victory for that purpose. Should finish in the top 5 at a canter.

 

Cubic County:

County are another original club starting way back in the first season. From season 2-10 they went in and out of the top and middle league 6 times experiencing a high of winning the middle league in season 6 and 5th place in the top league in season 7. After season 10 they crashed to the bottom league but bounced back to the top league winning the middle league again in season 13. They finished last however in the top league the following season and have found themselves in the middle league since. They have a strong side with a few stand out stars and above average youth development. A team that has been quiet recently but have the potential to cause a stir.

Odds for Title: 7/1, recent form would suggest otherwise but if they could string a few results together this is a team with potential. You would think another season in the middle league but who knows?

Seahawks FC:

Joined a mere two seasons ago enjoyed a respectable 4th place in the lower league in their debut season before winning the lower league title in style this season only dropping 2 points! Their team is still relatively weak but has some good youths and higher skilled middle league level players. They should be strong enough to survive and have a lot of momentum to ride on!

Odds for Title: 20/1 Stranger things have happened but it would be quite an achievement for Seahawks to win the Middle League title in their 3rd season. They should have enough talent to survive with a fight.

Leeds.M.O.T:

Another two season club joining the same time as Seahawks they came 6th in their first season and this season came a respectable 2nd and were the only team to take any points off Seahawks drawing with them at home. Their squad is still rather weak it has to be said but has great potential for growth and a few stand out stars. Some areas need big improvements like their forwards for example, with this in mind survival may be a big ask but they are a team that will give it a go.

 

Fave Opponent: Murrchester United

Odds for Title: 50/1 Unless several teams under perform this won't happen and neither should Leeds.M.O.T be concerning themselves with anything other than surviving which with some determination and great tactics they could achieve.

 

The Comerade Co-op

Yet another team that joined two seasons ago the Co-op had an appalling first season that saw them finish last in the bottom league. However they picked themselves up this season and took 3rd place and the last promotion spot by 6 points. With this being said, both of the other promoted sides beat the Co-op at home and away and they will be favorites to go down. Their squad has no glaring weaknesses but apart from a decent defense no inspiration either. It will be tough but they should try and make the best of this season whatever happens.

Hammerboys FC

Joined 3 seasons ago and has made quite the impact since then! Never shy of throwing out a PR full of fighting talk they are one of the more colourful teams in the league. After finishing 6th in their first season in the bottom league they gained promotion coming 3rd the season after. This season they almost defied expectations and stayed up but in the last game were relegated coming 8th. They have a squad that has a few stand out players and some well rounded youths and a season in the bottom league may do them good. Should come straight back up to give the middle league another go.

Emo Blades:

A much loved club that has been about since Season 3, in Season 6 they were promoted to the top league where they spent the next 4 seasons. They enjoyed a high of 4th place in Season 7 before being relegated in Season 10. They went down to the bottom league 2 seasons later before being promoted straight back up, after 4 seasons in the middle league they are again back in the bottom league. A team that seems to know their tactics but have been held back by poor youth development. They are currently quite a small team with 16 players but are a good set up apart from a rather weak striking line up. However they should go straight back up and hopefully can find the full potential of their players in the next few seasons.

Odds for Title: 5/1, they are capable but one has to question their self belief, they have never won a title and it would mean a lot to the fans if they did.

 

AFC Rez Rabies:

A relative veteran Rabies entered the X11 fold in season 6 and was soon promoted to the top league where he stayed till relegation in season 10. He bounced right back winning the middle league in season 11 he went down twice the following seasons before being promoted back to the middle league the season after. After staying in the league for one season this season he came last. One would expect Rabies to reenter the middle league, their team is full of interesting and talented players. However their almost suicidal attacking play that saw them let in 57 goals last season may be a major problem even against newer sides.

Complete Domstercool:

A season 3 veteran enjoyed several early seasons in the middle league before being promoted to the top league in season 7. Sadly they finished last and have been in free fall since then spending the last 8 seasons in the bottom league without much hope of leaving although they did finish 4th this season. A team frankly known for chronic mismanagement and insane tactics and recruiting policy! Having said that has become a long standing team in the league and a revival would be a welcome sight, who knows maybe this season?

 

Fave Opponent: Noodle Esporte Clube

Nightmare Opponent: Murrchester United

Record Victory: Complete Domstercool 5-0 Madpool (2009-07-03)

Odds for Title: 20/1, would be a brave man to back Domstercool for the title, not that they aren't capable so much as they aren't predictable!

 

Danish Dynamite:

The club joined this season and enjoyed a tough but respectable first season finishing 6th in the lower league. Their squad is starting to build up and they have some good youth talents and a good defensive group of players. This could be their breakout season!

Odds for Title: 23/1, have a good defense but still need to develop some more should aim for promotion at best in their 2nd season the title would be ambitious.

Odds for Title: 40/1, both these teams should enjoy their first season and not even worry about promotion but instead develop their squad.

 

 

Managerless Teams: These clubs have sadly been abandoned, their managers may return when a new season starts who knows? They are kept even if they don't to make the lower league an easier place for new teams.

The one thing about first seasoners is that they don't win every match and thus quit. It isn't going to be easy but after a first season the report comes and your squad gets stronger and the manager gets better. Perseverance at the beginning is all you need.

 

Your squad is quite good for a new team Peeps so you should be okay against the non managed teams at least!
