It's legal, i've done nothing wrong. I just didn't like the wording of the letter they sent, i don't like how the system works. "We'd rather get the small amounts than the large amounts". As a company, you would have thought they'd treat staff better than the public. But it is the opposite, the public get better than the staff. As i said, i'll have it cleared in March and this was a way to keep them off my back for a few months. I've got the money, i just didn't like being "bullied". Politicians make the rules, they are over the news for draining the system dry. I'm not going into this whole section, i have my views on this. If the tax office want to send letters basically "bullying" people into paying back money then would you blame anyone for trying what i've done. How can they expect anyone to pay back such an amount in full. As i've said, it's only in place for a short time to get them off my back regarding this. I've seen many people on a lot more money than me getting debts like mine paid over a long period. In light of your comment, is it right for them to do the same? You are indeed correct, this was from a couple of years ago when i did a job for 6 months. But as i believed i was under the threshold for Tax, i didn't challenge it at the time. I get a letter a week ago saying i owe the amount mentioned earlier, i call and ask for an explanation as to how it occurred and alas it was for that job a couple of years ago. It was something to do with the council they said to me. That would kind of be hilarious, considering jimbob works for the dole peeps. Posted November 12, 2013 Most of last week was just terrible, I didn't know how I'd make it through! But then come Saturday it was actually really good. I went to my friends birthday which consisted of a casino and a few bars, i'd never been to a casino before so that was really fun! Spent £40, won £25, threw it back in and lost that too :p It was a fun ride though and with such bad luck I can't see myself getting hooked on it :p The gay bars were also pretty awesome, had some amazing drinks, didn't get lucky but then I didn't expect to, I always 'look straight' apparently (maybe I need to flap my hand more and wear deep V tops, aye?)
