Was there ever a chance you were going to dislike it?

The costume's fine.

I've decided.

Let's just deal with it. These shots give no impression of the film whatsoever.

I actually don't agree... I think they've very telling that this movie is gonna be VERY practical. As much as I love Sam Raimi and his trilogy, if he were directing this scene I doubt Spider-man himself would be there at all... I'd be guessing it would all be CGI. I'm actually very impressed to see a live-action Spider-Man swinging about.

Which is all a good thing.

I hate a lot of what Marvel has done. Just because I love a lot of what they do doesn't mean I automatically like everything they do. I'm one of the most critical people of the original Spider-Man movie around these parts.

Lol @ the first one. Reminds me of when Daft accused Marvel of being all about bright colours and shoving crotches in your face. :p

Writing like this is the reason the writers at IGN get paid the big bucks. :indeed:

Fake edit: The costume looks fine, I guess.

The removal of the bloody mechanical web shooters was the best thing Sam Raimi ever did. They better pull it off well here.

To be honest, the main reason I'm gonna see this is Andrew Garfield, cos I've been a big supporter and follower of him since Boy A and am really pleased to see him doing well. I'm optimistic about this movie, but he's the only thing so far that's drawn me.

Naa! Mechanical shooters work in a lot of ways that biological ones don't. Once you get past the 'omg he's only a kid he can't do that!' wall (artfully demolished in Ultimate Spider-Man, fun fans) they're a strong part of his character.

It's true, in the middle of a battle you may have to stop and reload.

Yeah, I liked his mechanical shooters during the 90's cartoon, because yes situations would occur when he wanted to give chase but couldn't, or mid battle he'd run out of web.

Just gotta see whether they've managed a decent looking Lizard now!

I know it was the most obvious title by a country mile but I was talking at Claire just yesterday about how this was blatantly the title.

That picture makes me NEED a new avatar and signature. Annoying. I'm busy/incredibly tired right now. Basically bagsy though.
