Disappointed that there's no new Ace Attorney 3DS themes being released this week. I know Japan got some new ones, and I need the Trucy's magic show theme:

It's so perfect...

...Oh well, I guess I'll stick with the one based on my favourite Spirit of Justice case, but hopefully we'll get the new themes soon.

The Apollo Justice remaster is fantastic, by the way. Highly recommended.

Is Nano Assault EX any good? I'm undecided between that and Mighty Switch Force, and I have Gold Points for either.

EDIT: There seems to be a Steam version of MSF called "Hyper Drive Edition". If that's the straight up superior version (there are extra levels, right?), I might just buy the game there, and use the points on Nano Assault. But I'd prefer to hear a second opinion first.

They are both fun games. Got Nano Assault EX through the Humble Bundle and was hooked to it for a while, although sometimes it is frustratingly difficult. Mighty Switch Force is also good, both part 1 and 2. I don't know if the Steam version has extra levels though.

Yes, it’s very good in the Mario Galaxy styled cell levels that rotate around under you. Have you played the WiiU version? Not so good in the flying, camera is situated behind your ship and the controls are so convoluted as to make those levels an annoyance rather than the fun they look. Fortunately, those levels are few and far between and don’t detract from a great twin stick shooter (I did play with the Boat style extra Analogue pad attachment on an OG 3DS). Haven’t played it on the New 3DS.

It should be noted, I do not have a Wii U, so buying a version there is out of the question. It should also be noted, the Steam version of Mighty Switch Force is apparently the same as the Wii U version.

I am now leaning towards getting Nano Assault EX on the 3DS and Mighty Switch Force on Steam, as those seem to be the preferred platforms for both games, but I'll make the decision after the weekend.

Yeah, you're right. No biggie. I'll still be picking it up for the 3DS if reviews are good.

I'd be shocked if 80s Overdrive doesn't come to Switch at some point.  Its been in development for so long that I can't see them letting it just die on 3DS.

So, Dillon for €7,- and Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon for €28,- Good price for both? @Glen-i or others?

I'd say, especially Pokémon.

Fair warning though, as much as I love both of these games, they both cater to a specific niche, and they're not at all shy about punching you in the face repeatedly for making a mistake.

They're brutal.

Thanks! I’m on the fence about PSMD, is that the best game to start with the franchise? Ideally I’d putchase a physical version. If I recall correctly, PSMD and especially explorers of sky are the highlights?

Dillon and Card Jockey ars nobrainers for that price.

Tempted to get Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon...

PSMD is definitely not the the game I'd recommend as an entry title. It's quite easily the hardest in the series. A very unforgiving game. It's still a good deal though.

Explorers of Sky is certainly no cakewalk, but it's much more beginner friendly with a less steep difficulty curve.  It still gets tough though, around two thirds through (Damn you, Porygons). Best story in the Pokemon franchise as well, even with "Power of Friendship" seeing heavy usage. That's the one I'd recommend first if it's available.

How would you rank all the PMD games? And wich is the most beginner friendly one? I’d love to get into a new franchise and this seems like a great contender.
