Hmm. Could really do with an eShop sale. Like some delicious reductions of big titles like OoT, Paper Mario etc.

They did it last year with some games (OoT included, which I missed out on  )

People would lap it up!!

Wave Race isn't the greatest. The DKL trilogy aren't outright amazing either. They tried to squeeze too much in - I guess their ambition should be applauded - but I don't think they pulled it off, entirely. They have too much going on graphically, so playing on the monochrome Gameboy it could at times be difficult to pick your Kong out from the background, what with everything being green and black. Even the controls didn't 'feel' as good. Its very responsive (its from Rare at their peak) but feels lighter and bouncier than the SNES trilogy.

What I'm saying is its a good job you only "kinda" want these games. :heh:

Especially as the States seem to get an Atlus sale every other week!

I played Wave Race on the GameBoy when I was younger as I remember lending my cousin Super Mario Land whilst I got Wave Race in return. She lost Super Mario Land, but Wave Race is a game that I know isn't that special, but would like to at least play it again :heh:

Donkey Kong Land, however, I have never played and would like to try it out, if only to have something else to play on my 3DS :indeed:

Finally played through Attack of the Friday Monsters and it's a lovely little gem of a game. While there isn't much in the way of gameplay per-say (you mostly just walk around and talk to people - though there is a fun little card minigame that you play with some of them from time to time), it's a really heartwarming little tale of kids being kids (with a huge dollop of crazy added on top for good measure!)

Quirky characters, things that make sense to you but not the characters you play as, hints at family discourse that go over the main character's head. It's a really charming and short-but-sweet little tale :) (with a beautifully sweet sound track to match!)

If you love surrealist slice-of-life stuff like Azumanga, My Neighbours the Yamadas, Chulip or Chibi Robo, you'll love this game :D

Just makes me sad now that none of Millenium Kitchen's other games have been localised :(

1. Make sure you've played Extreme Escape: 999 on the DS BEFORE you played VLR.

2. Make sure you've set aside 40 hours or so to get through that bad boy :)
