I've got my computer science exam coming up and because of this the school is clearing every CS student's documents folder out. I copied all the files in the folder to an SD card to bring home, and copied them onto my computer at home. Now, for some reason the "My Pictures" and "My Music" folders can't be removed from the SD card. Every single file in them can be, but the actual folders are "stuck" there. Is there anyway to remove them without formatting the card?

No need to read your post, the thread title was easy.

Right click > Delete.

Pretty basic info tbh.

I think you might actually need to read the post.

Do you not have any programs that could do it? In the past I've used TuneUp Utilities to delete things that won't seem to delete.

I'll see if I can find something on Mac Update.

Hold shift and press delete.

I think its that anyway, might be wrong but worth a try.

All this does is bypass the recycle bin, I think konfucius is onto something, backup your stuff and format the card :)

I didn't understand if you are running Windows or OSX, but if you are on Windows you could try Unlocker: http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

I'm using OSX The files originated on a PC though.

Format the SD card once everything you require from it has been removed. That should solve the problem you are having.

I was trying to avoid that, but I guess there probably isn't any other way.
