nightwolf Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Been currently making a menu for my basic flash game (and I mean basic unfortunetly. Going to check for a flash dummies book at some point this weekend ) Whilst I like my menu, I found that everything I've searched for on the web doesn't seem to let me close the .swf by just clicking my ''exit'' button. ..sometimes I wish it was like vb..now that was easy. Any help would be appreciated. I really cannot understand why things are going abit haywire. Maybe because it's 2am..
Wesley Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Last time I checked (before ActionScript 3.0) there wasn't that option. Although you could use a work around to call JavaScript to close the window. So it would be like: YOURACTION { getURL("javascript:window.close();void(0);"); } I'm sleepy now. My brain hurts from thinking about things that I have to think about think think. Sleeeeep.
nightwolf Posted January 24, 2009 Author Posted January 24, 2009 Hmm, well I'm currently using actionscript 2.0, so that's annoying. It'll technically only be run from the pc, as it won't be hosted online..
Wesley Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 You could run your flash app. in a browser and then it'd be fine. Apart from that though there's nothing I don't think.

Alright, ta for that. I've decided to just re-run the animation that proceeds the menu. Should be enough I should think!
