So, with Britain heading into financial turmoil, people are looking for a new Government. Despite it having nothing to do with them.

Question is, which Party are you going to vote for at the next General Elections? Can't get enough of Labour? Crazy for super hot Cameron? Or do you fancy reviving Nazism by voting for facist BNP?

Discuss.

Despite me being; 16, Scottish, having parents who read the Daily Express, and knowing the seat wouldn't be won anyway, I think I'd vote Conservative. And that's nothing to do with Boris, either; I think they just fit my mindset most closely (or perhaps, least loosely would be more appropriate).

People think the Tories are right for them, but they obviously forgot this is the Conservative Party we're talking about here. Isn't it wonderful how Cameron appears to represent us all? Shame we don't hear jack shit about his actual policies. Like it or not, Labour are far more experienced (and have proved to be far better) than Tories when it comes to steering the country through tough times.

In a perfect world I'd probably vote green, but the Conservatives are the only real hope of getting Labour out, so I'll probably go with them.

In a perfect world, there would be no need to vote for the green party.

I'm confused. There doesn't seem to be an option for 'No one'. Yes, that's right. I shan't be wasting my time voting in the next election or any election for that matter (there's an up-and-coming by election in my town taking place soon because our MP died). I honestly don't believe that any of the political parties are suitable for making the country better than it is and improving on the areas that need to be improved. All I see is a lot of talk and false promises. So yeh, I won't be voting. Always thought about seeing if I could get my name on the ballet paper to see how many people would vote for me. I'm sure it can't be too hard to do :heh:

Woo! I'm 18 soon and I get to vote! :D

Shame I don't really no much about Politics...

...yeah.

I'll need to actually look at all the candidates before casting a vote otherwise I'd just be voting for the gu who looks the most hilarious o something and that would not do the country much good. :p

I'm old enough to vote, but I really don't know who to vote for.

People always say that your vote is wasted if you don't vote. Maybe I'll just vote for one of the smaller parties, somebody who I know WON'T win the election... :hmm:

I'm like Ganepark and shall not be voting in the next election - I've become too disillusioned with British Politics for me to really care - I prefer to observe it. If you want Labour out then I suggest you vote Conservative as Lib Dem will literally make no difference (plus they're lacking clout, just like in the last election, in which I stupidly voted for them!).

What bothers me most with British Politics is the inability to have two votes - one for Prime Minister and one for party.

considering spoiling my ballot. Possibly by drawing a cock on it.

this is, for the mildly confused, the best form of protest vote if that's what you want- not turning up counts for nothing, but spoilt ballots go in to exit polls and official results so you are actually making a point.

On the contrary, the thing that bothers me is the inability to vote for a Party as opposed to a leader. Across the pond, you vote for a President, not a Party. The thing I hate about British politics is the total lack of power a Prime Minister actually has. He not only has to consult and gain the support of his Party on most major decisions, he can also be chucked out. By his own party.

Bear that in minds, kids. It's the Party, not the person.

Pffft. Elections.

Call me when you setup a thread about something that will actually affect me.

Expect that phone call when I make a thread about Marvel preventing sales to nerds any time soon.

Joking.
