Last night i bought 2 games.

Heavenly Scord (PS3) 'Ok' I know it has had good reviews but i just find it boring compared to DMC4 and Ninja Gaiden 2. Think i'm just going to take it back. (I may have enjoyed it alot more if i had bought it when it first came out) 3/10

thats a real shame, i was tempted by it, probly just gonna replay dmc4 instead then.

It is a shame, i just found it boring compared to the others mentioned. It does pretty much have good reviews everywhere though. Maybe it's just me?

I also didn't like the 2GB game data install, only greats such as MGS4 should grace that much memory! :p

Twilight Princess

Started playing through it again (third time now :blank: . Can tell I'm bored with my current selection of games can't you :heh: ) and I have to say that the controls feel awful compared to playing it when it came out. The flaws were there when it came out but because it was caught up in the launch of the Wii, most people probably put it behind them. Well I just find movement really imprecise and the camera is awful. Also getting very monotonous already and I've only gotten up to Kakariko Village (but that could be cause I've played it through twice already). Twilight realm also looks better than the normal one, which looks jaggy. Still, I'll probably still persevere and finish it for a 3rd time. 6.5/10

Minish Cap

Unfortunately, I played this quite a ways through when it came out but left it. So I've been going back to it recently and I have to say I'm loving it. The Kinstone business is a nice touch but you never really get anything from it that is of value to aid you in the game. But I love the style and the minish parts of it. Very innovative. Nearly finished it as well. 9/10

Starting Link to the Past again over the next few days. Hopefully, after all these years, I can finally finish it.

I love Minish Cap, it's one of my favourite Zelda games. :)

Batman Returns (SNES)

8/10

Perfect little game you can complete in 30 mins. Soooo satisfying with the sound effects such as when you throw people against walls and lamp posts. Only reason it gets 8 is because Catwoman is a real bitch to defeat...twice.

Haha, awesome, I was playing this game last night and I agree with you - the sound effects are so hearty! I find it really hard to complete though, I clearly lack skills as the Dark Knight!

Heavenly Sword

Seeing as I don't normally like hack and slash games, I LOVED this. The story was great, the graphics were gorgeous, and killing loads of baddies is hell a satisfying ^_^

Burnout Paradise

back on with the bikes. Only this time I was pumping up the chemical brothers on custom sound tracks. Quite possibly the most fun you can have without buying a ps3, then WipEOut HD, then doing the same thing.

Mario Kart Wii

It's absolute fun in Multiplayer! especially on the NE evenings. I don't like it as much as when it first came out as I'm no longer as good at it as I was. :p My ranking went right down and I have barely played any of the Single player.

5 Bears out of 7.

Super Mario Galaxy.

Brilliant. I picked this up again today and forgot how much fun this was. I managed to get another Purple coin star challenge under my belt which I was really pleased with because last time I tried I got to 80 coins and accidently fell off!!!

6 Bears out of 7. :D

I'm still playing Pokemon as well. It's been on all day but still no Garbile has shown up!!! :(

Ace Combat 6

Like Top gun with (slightly) less homo-eroticism, documenting the aerial battles between two totally fictional countries which definitly definitly aren't thinly veiled representations of America and Russia. Top flight.

It also has some kind of lesbian romance sub-plot, but the dialog is so bad parents would be wise to make their kids watch actual porn instead.

Everybodys Golf: World Tour

I got to playing this a few weeks ago as i missed it first time around. I have to say i'm addicted too! I was up until 4am last night trying to beat Sonia who is very evenly matched with me. Grrr! i couldnt take beeing beat in sudden death., Twice it happened! I got her on the third try though :)

Excellent game. It reminds me a Mario Golf which i adored back in the day. I've played Tiger 09 for a few hours too, and that's a pretty sweet game, i just find it so serious and it takes away some of the fun. EGWT couldnt be more cute or lovable, and that makes a big difference to me.

Zelda Twilight Princess

I think I'm in the Temple of time! I'm not sure it's a bit of an easy dungeon not much challenge thus far but still fun. I wasn't expecting the Item that I got not as great as the ball and Chain though! :D

I forgot how great this game is having left it and just got back into it today.

5 Bears out of 7! there is still something missing from this game ut I'm not sure what. :)

Japanese version > ours. They get upskirts.

Half-Life 2 (X360, The Orange Box)

That game is still pure concentrated awesome. Its so much fun to play and it translates really well to consoles!

10/10.

Rockband

7/10

As much as I prefer GH to Rockband, this is still pretty awesome. I'm a sucker for customisable characters..

Anyway, only gets a 7 because I don't like most of the songs, and it feels a lot more tedious than GH. Also, its a lot easier :(

On the plus side, there's masses of DLC!

Finally got the last couple of puzzle pieces on Braid. Nice game. Really nice.

Yeah that game is really something.

The last level is simply superb. It's the kind of game I would love to play when I'm older and experienced a lot of relationships (heartbreak, mistakes etc) and have learnt a lot about my character. Only then will i truly appreciate what it's about. And i love how the last achievement is called 'closure'.

Oh, the music rocks too :)

Crysis Warhead

What the hell? This engine still has an utterly shit frame rate. My machine is pretty damn powerful (E6600 @ 3.4ghz, 3GB Ram, Radeon HD 4850) and it can only just about manage MEDIUM settings. Its INSANE. The game actually froze and crashed on the third level just as i hit a save point. Not before it took 96% of my RAM up though. *sigh* It really sucks. Its quite a fun game, alot faster than the original with some good sections. But fuck, i can't even run it well on a machine like mine.

So far, a score of 6/10.

Worked out why it was doing it. Turns out seeing as my RAM (ye olde DDR533) is slow as turd, it was killing my performance pretty badly. So, I've set everything down to medium, plays @ 60fps which is great. Some cool action now that the 'twist' has happened.

jordan; I have to say, half-life 2 is a great game but I don't think it's perfect. While the world is hugely immersive and the storyline is impressive, and while certainly the xbox version is fully enjoyable; the game in general is too short and too easy. But perhaps that's why it's so fun to play! no bit is so hard that you have to give up, and I'll never say 'no' to additional content to the storyline... but I always get that niggling feeling that there is something not quite right about the game.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Despite the interesting story and stupidly nice visuals this title screams 'average action game'. Could've been so much more.

Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness

Easily the best HM game from the core series I have played. The crop and tool system have had a major change which make the game more challenging and longer. Unlike what the "professional" reviews say I think the controls are great and make the game easier and more fun to play.

I always thought Hl2 was pretty long for an fps. If you think about it, it is pretty epic.

Great game, but I'm not fond of how ghost like Freeman is. Feels like you're on ice skates, and the lack of hands fucks me off something awful- expecially on the levels in the boat and the car with the magically turning steering apparatus'.

Half-Life 2 is actually around 10 hours long. Which is as Dan says long for an FPS.

I think the action, the set pieces, the controls, the story, the characters... everything is done excellently. I didn't give it a 10 because it was perfect, but because I've never seen another FPS with that level of excellence.

Yeah i think you said in the Purchases thread. That's so unfair. I'd love to see some thongage. It's such a tease because you almost see up there on many occasions, but the camera just prevents it. Are there screens anywhere of them? That might just satisfy my curiosity :p
