nightwolf Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Ok so I can't find it in comet and I'm not paying 20quid for a pre-owned one from game/gamestation. Does anybody have it for cheap? Or can anybody get it from comet (it's 4.99 there ) and send it to me?
Sheikah Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 It's listed on the Comet website so you could order it from there, but the delivery seems expensive (5 quid, so 10 total). If possible you could try order and collect from any relatively local store for a small amount. But if I were you I'd wait for the next one...I know it's out soon in the US. I find with Magical Melody that the game is very harsh with stamina being drained ridiculously fast compared to previous titles. It can be incredibly frustrating at times... Edit: oddly Comet doesn't let you order it from the website if your address isn't near a store that has it in stock. The scrounging bastards.
nightwolf Posted August 21, 2008 Author Posted August 21, 2008 haha yeah the comet website originally only lets you buy it with a wii bundle, it does sound like a good idea to get the next one, but the only reason I was buying it because it was so cheap and cute. I'd rather not buy the next one unless it came out under £10.
EEVILMURRAY Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Ok so I can't find it in comet and I'm not paying 20quid for a pre-owned one from game/gamestation. You don't want to pay £20 for a new one from Amazon or Play then?
Sheikah Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Well it is £18 new on ShopTo. They pretty much always get the game to you the next day provided you order before 5PM.
ShadowV7 Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Your not gonna get this for a fiver in a long time. It's just listed that price because they don't have it in and if your waiting for the next one, you'll need to move higher than £10 unless your really lucky to find it that price pre-owned Or just try ebay or something.
nightwolf Posted August 22, 2008 Author Posted August 22, 2008 You don't want to pay £20 for a new one from Amazon or Play then? I only wanted to see what it was like rather than paying £20, I don't trust play, everytime I order it takes too long. Sigh shadowv7 great input there, ta..
Ashley Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Hmm not in my area either... The Hut have it for just under £18 and if you use the code BANKHOL10 you get 10% off. Best I can find...
nightwolf Posted August 24, 2008 Author Posted August 24, 2008 Ta chuck ^_^, I've been looking around and can't find it, I may just wait for a while and think about getting the next one as suggested
Ashley Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Its weird. Normally a site would say "the nearest store is..." but Comet just says "not in your area, sod off"
Sheikah Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Its weird. Normally a site would say "the nearest store is..." but Comet just says "not in your area, sod off" AKA we'll charge you 5 pounds to send the game from your local shop. XD Reminds me of Amazon enforcing a £5 packaging and delivery cost on electronics like an SD card.
Ashley Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Its not just that, paying £6 P&P would still make it cheaper than anywhere else but if you pop it in your basket and it says "Sorry, this item is out of stock in your area. Please remove the NINTENDO WII HARVEST MOO from your basket and choose an alternative." Amusing as "NINTENDO WII HARVEST MOO" is I've tried postcodes from several places (London, Essex, Manchester, Sheffield etc) and nada. Get the feeling its sold out completely and one or two stores may have one or two copies.
Sheikah Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 I have a feeling that the entire Comet website is run by two monkeys and a platypus, and that's being generous.
EEVILMURRAY Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Not feeling Curse of Monkey Island anymore nightwolf? Or would you prefer a trade. Its weird. Normally a site would say "the nearest store is..." but Comet just says "not in your area, sod off" I got that also but for another game, it's bullshit. They assume I wouldn't mind paying a couple of extra quid on a bus or two.
nightwolf Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 Not at the moment evil, I'm worried my laptop is dying, so it'll have to wait til I get ahold of this desktop.
