Posted July 22, 2008 Out late in 08 I don't know about any other PS3 owners around here but for me Resistance is looking very promising. Now I've never played Gears, but I liked Resistance: FoM, and even though I thought the campaign could have been improved upon, I liked a lot of stuff found within the game. The new trailers are quality also and according to the developers the online has vastly been improved with more people being able to play. Their focus this time is splitting teams into separate squads and splitting objectives between them, which sounds interesting. Its gonna be awesome. Posted July 22, 2008 I'm looking forward to this. Seems to be a marked improvement over the first (graphics etc). Will it fit in with my obsessive gears of war 2 gaming (i can see the future, lol) i don't know but i have got my pre-order for this in anyway, £29.99 on gameplay! Yeah I only recently picked up the game and played some smaller online matches to learn the ropes and got to grips with the pace and such like pretty easily. Can't wait for this. Posted September 2, 2008 I'm still playing through the 1st game. Up to Somerset...not sure how much further I have to go. I do find it a bit of a slog in a way. I think mechanics wise it is brilliant think it looks good to. But for me so far there have been a lack of great, drawn out set pieces. there have been a couple, but nothing the kind of the grand scale I perhaps want. Were I in the Beta I might be able to tell you that the online system has much improved, now featuring a Halo-style party system so that you can stick with a group of up to 30 people. But alas... Posted September 2, 2008 I've borrowed this to play through online and it is actually very fun. I agree about FoM set pieces though, would be nice to see more. Thing is, I'm starting to get cravings for Killzone 2. Hopefully by then I'll have an HD TV, a headset and maybe a better net connection. Reason why? Posted September 22, 2008 I thought the first was really good. Just borrowing it off a friend, the campaign was longer than I thought, maybe didn't have enough variety or bosses, but it was still challenging.
