they're going to get similar performance, I would recommend deciding if you would prefer a 17" laptop or a 15". I think the M1530 beats it assuming that the vostro doesn't have dedicated graphics memory.

You're not realistically going to notice a difference in RAM between 2GB and 3GB. Especially if you downgrade to XP. The CPU is a little slower sure, but when playing games on a laptop the GPU is more likely to be the bottleneck.

Don't feel that way, it's still not a bad laptop and should play most games fine, if it doesn't suit you doesn't dell have some sort of short term return policy.

na they say as it is a business order i can't cancel, another problem is that i kinda gave a fake company name to get the laptop so now im getting worried at what dell might do. I just put my normal name not realising it was meant to be a company name.

Can anyone give me advice on what to do?

Personally I would prefer a 17" to a 15" anyway. It's still a good laptop so don't worry about it.
