Posted November 22, 2005 Really liking a song by Brand New Heavies ("How We Do This") and another by Sufjan Stevens (John Wayne Gacy Jr) so I'll listen to some more of their stuff, so if its as good. As far as the rest; I love that sufjan song, it's my favourite of the year so far. and the album it's from(illinoise) is also my favourite of 2005, you should definitely buy it. Posted November 22, 2005 I could post my CD collection like that other dumpweed did, but I guess posting 500 cd's isn't the smart thing to do. Favourite bands: - Nine Inch Nails - Deftones - Tool - Rancid - The Mars Volta - Bright Eyes - The Clash - Desaparecidos - Aerogramme - Dredg - NOFX - The Arcade Fire - Team Sleep Yeah that's a nice summary. Same ol' road by Dredg is fantastic, I love that song!
Posted November 22, 2005 anyone heard of gogol bordello? a friend lent me their album today, and it's frigging amazing! it's like a fusion of gypsy and punk music, and not half as bad as that may make it seem the album "gypsy punks : underdog world strike" is produced by steve albini aswell, and i think it could well be a cross-over hit much in the same way as the scissor sisters did last year. Posted November 24, 2005 The Dissociatives, Faker, Decoder RingSome good Aussie music. I really like The Dissociatives - 'Somewhere Down The Barrel' is a sweet song. Just to add to the Aussie list - End of Fashion. Dukka, I gave Gogol Bordello a listen, but not my kind of thing. Although I half got into 'Punk Rock Paranda'.
