Shorty Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I want to write an essay, you don't have to read it. Last night's meal sucked, first crappy one in a while. I suddenly realised it was nearly 7 and I was making a meal for myself. Not wanting to trek the epic twelve-and-a-half metres across the road to the supermarket, I searched the cupboard for anything I could find and came across Chicken Meatballs (word "Meat" may have been an exaggeration) in tomato sauce. Just from the first turn of the tin opener I could tell this wasn't going to be positive. The smell of baked beans (eurgh) clambered up my face and into my brain, making me feel sick. I made rice for one, and since it was for one, I didn't bother with my rice-cooker and just boiled it. Too much water, too little salt, bit too damp. The vegetables were the only positive aspect and that's because I undercook frozen veg in the microwave to keep them crunchy. I scraped the meatballs, once cooked, out of the sauce and applied copious amounts of TK so that I didn't have to taste much of that baked-bean-esque filth it was coated in. Then again, filth without it's filth coat will still be filth. Those things were horrible. They weren't even grey/white, how the hell was that reconstituted rubbery crap supposed to be chicken?! It was to poultry what MDF is to wood. Never, ever again. minus 4/10.
