She's into anime (mostly Ghilbi but not exclusively). Something complete (ie not one volume) and just...I dunno, something fun and nice to add to her birthday present. Pics of suggestions would be nice (or website linkage)
Guest bluey Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 either azumanga daioh (it's the only thing i have a complete set of~) very nice japanese newpaper cartoon style manga, 4-panel-strips with japanese humor and references to other anime & manga series... but spiral bound is probably your best bet if she likes things like miyazaki ~ it's really sweet, simple and nice

And if I like the sound of it I'll also take the how to draw manga super etc.. some of the recipes include: japanese power country breakfast, kiriboshi daikon with shiitake mushrooms and tofu, miso soup, kinpira, dashi (super useful base sauce)gyoza dumplings, tempuraaa!! (YUM!) tamago (again, YUM!!!) there's also a lot of information about japanese customs and eating habits ~ it's cool ^^
